5. Installation
5.1 Mounting Location
Choose a central location in the room, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources (e.g., radiators, lamps). The recommended mounting height is approximately 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor.
5.2 Wiring
- Turn off the power to your heating system at the main circuit breaker before proceeding.
- Carefully open the thermostat casing to access the wiring terminals.
- Connect the two wires from your boiler to the designated terminals on the thermostat. The LL0250 typically uses a simple two-wire connection for boiler control (often labeled NO and COM or similar). Refer to your boiler's manual for specific wiring requirements.

5.3 Wall Mounting

5.4 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the thermostat.
- Insert two new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
6. Initial Setup
6.1 Setting Time and Day
- Press the SET button briefly. The time display will start flashing.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to adjust the hour.
- Press OK to confirm the hour and move to minutes.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to adjust the minutes.
- Press OK to confirm the minutes and move to the day of the week.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to select the current day (e.g., 1 for Monday, 2 for Tuesday, etc.).
- Press SET or wait a few seconds for the settings to be saved automatically.
7. Operating Modes
The thermostat offers two primary operating modes: Manual and Programmable.

7.1 Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, the thermostat maintains a constant temperature set by the user until it is manually changed. This mode is indicated by a hand icon on the bottom left of the display.
- If not already in Manual Mode, press the SET button briefly until the hand icon appears.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to adjust the desired temperature. The 'SET' temperature will flash as you adjust it.
- The thermostat will now maintain this temperature. When the room temperature falls below the set temperature, a flame icon will appear on the display, indicating that the heating system is active.
7.2 Programmable Mode (AUTO)
In Programmable Mode, the thermostat follows a pre-set schedule of temperatures and times. This mode is indicated by two arrows forming a circle with the word AUTO above it.
- To switch to Programmable Mode from Manual Mode, press the SET button briefly until the AUTO icon appears.
- The thermostat will now operate according to the programmed schedule.
8. Programming the Schedule
The LL0250 allows you to set up to 6 distinct time periods (P1-P6) for each day, each with its own start time and desired temperature. To enter programming mode, long-press the SET button.
When in programming mode, icons representing different daily activities will appear on the top left of the display to indicate the current time slot being programmed.
- Long-press the SET button until an icon (e.g., a person waking up) appears on the top left, indicating the first time slot (P1).
- The hour display will flash. Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set the start hour for P1.
- Press OK to confirm the hour and move to minutes.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set the start minutes for P1.
- Press OK to confirm the minutes and move to the temperature setting.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set the desired temperature for P1.
- Press OK to confirm the temperature. The display will then automatically advance to the next time slot (P2), indicated by a new icon (e.g., a person leaving home).
- Repeat steps 2-7 for all 6 time slots (P1 to P6). Even if you don't use all 6 slots, you must set a time and temperature for each. For unused slots, you can set a low temperature (e.g., 17°C) to ensure heating is off.
- After setting P6, press SET or wait a few seconds for the settings to be saved and to exit programming mode.
Example Programming Logic:
Consider a schedule where heating is desired in the morning and evening:
- P1 (Waking Up Icon): Start 06:15, Temperature 24°C (Morning warmth)
- P2 (Leaving Home Icon): Start 07:00, Temperature 17°C (Heating off while away)
- P3 (Lunch Return Icon): Start 12:00, Temperature 17°C (Still off, or set higher if home for lunch)
- P4 (Leaving Home Again Icon): Start 13:00, Temperature 17°C (Heating off again)
- P5 (Evening Return Icon): Start 18:30, Temperature 24°C (Evening warmth)
- P6 (Sleeping Icon): Start 20:00, Temperature 17°C (Heating off for the night)
9. Maintenance
9.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.4.
9.2 Cleaning
