Setup and Installation

The Willpower LED Light Pods are designed for straightforward installation. Follow these steps to properly mount and connect your lights.

Required Tools (Not Included):

  • Wrench or socket set
  • Wire strippers/crimpers
  • Electrical tape or heat shrink tubing
  • Drill (if new mounting holes are required)

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Mounting Bracket: Attach the provided mounting bracket to the light pod using the small bolt and nut. Ensure the bracket is oriented correctly for your desired mounting position.
  2. Secure the Light: Choose a suitable mounting location on your vehicle or desired surface. Use the larger bolt and nut to secure the light pod, with its attached bracket, to the mounting surface. Tighten securely.
  3. Wire Connection: The light pod has two wires: one positive (+) and one negative (-). Connect the positive wire to a 9-30V DC power source (e.g., vehicle battery, auxiliary power). Connect the negative wire to a suitable ground point.
  4. Insulate Connections: Ensure all electrical connections are properly insulated using electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to prevent short circuits and protect against moisture.
  5. Test Functionality: Before finalizing the installation, test the lights to ensure they illuminate correctly.
  6. Adjust Beam Angle: Once mounted, you can adjust the tilt angle of the light pod by loosening the side bolts on the bracket, setting the desired angle, and then re-tightening the bolts.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, operating the Willpower LED Light Pods is simple. They are designed for continuous illumination when powered.

  • Power On/Off: The lights will turn on when power is supplied to their wiring and turn off when power is cut. This is typically controlled by an external switch connected to your vehicle's electrical system.
  • Voltage Range: Ensure the input voltage is within the specified 9-30V DC range. Operating outside this range may damage the lights or reduce their lifespan.
  • Beam Type: These are spot beam lights, designed to provide concentrated illumination over a longer distance.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could scratch the lens or damage the housing.
  • Inspect Wiring: Regularly check the wiring and connections for any signs of wear, fraying, or corrosion. Ensure all connections remain secure and insulated.
  • Check Mounting: Verify that the mounting bolts are still tight and the lights are securely fastened to prevent vibration damage or misalignment.
  • Heat Dissipation: Ensure the cooling fins on the back of the light are free from dirt, mud, or debris to allow for proper heat dissipation.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LED Light Pods, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
