3. Product Overview

The Logicom VEGA 155T consists of a cordless handset and a base station. Familiarize yourself with the main components:

3.1 Handset

  • Display Screen: Shows call information, menu options, and battery status.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.

4.2 Connecting the Base Station

  1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the "LINE" port on the base station.
  2. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall socket or the phone port on your internet box.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the "POWER" port on the base station.
  4. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

4.3 Initial Charging

Place the handset on the base station's charging cradle. The handset display will indicate charging. For optimal battery performance, charge the handset for at least 12-15 hours before its first use, even if the display indicates a full charge sooner.

4.4 Handset Registration (for additional handsets or re-registration)

Your primary handset is usually pre-registered. If you are adding up to 5 additional handsets or need to re-register a handset:

  1. On the base station, press and hold the Paging button (or registration button) for approximately 5 seconds until the registration indicator light flashes.
  2. On the handset, access the menu, navigate to "Registration" or "Register Handset," and confirm.
  3. Enter the system PIN (default is usually 0000 or 1234, refer to the full manual for specific default PIN).
  4. The handset will display a confirmation message upon successful registration.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Pick up the handset, dial the number, and press the Call key.
  • To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, press the Call key.
  • To End a Call: Press the End key or place the handset back on the base station.
  • Hands-free (Speakerphone): During a call, press the Hands-free key to activate the speakerphone. Press it again to return to handset mode.

5.2 Phonebook

The phonebook can store up to 20 contacts.

  • To Add a Contact: Access the menu, select "Phonebook," then "Add New Entry." Enter the name and number, then save.
  • To Call from Phonebook: Access the phonebook, scroll to the desired contact, and press the Call key.

5.3 Answering Machine

The integrated answering machine records messages when you are unavailable.

  • Activating/Deactivating: Access the answering machine menu on the handset or use the dedicated button on the base station.
  • Recording a Greeting: Follow the menu prompts to record a personalized outgoing message.
  • Playing Messages: Press the Play button on the base station or access the answering machine menu on the handset.
  • Deleting Messages: During playback, press the Delete button on the base station or select the option from the handset menu.

5.4 Other Functions

  • Call Log: Review the last 10 incoming/outgoing calls.
  • Keypad Lock: Press and hold the # key to lock/unlock the keypad.
  • Alarm: Set an alarm through the handset menu.
  • Intercom (Multi-handset system): If multiple handsets are registered, you can make internal calls between them. Consult the full manual for detailed intercom instructions.
  • Call Transfer (Multi-handset system): Transfer an external call to another registered handset.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the handset and base station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquid enters the device openings.

6.2 Battery Care

  • Use only the specified rechargeable NiMH battery pack.
  • If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery from the handset.
  • Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

7. Troubleshooting
