Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your MELLCOM Mid-Century Lounge Chair with Ottoman. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use to ensure safe and proper functioning of the product. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
- Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or damaged.
- Assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Tighten all screws and bolts securely. Periodically check and re-tighten as needed.
- Do not stand on the chair or ottoman.
- Keep children away from the assembly area. Small parts can be a choking hazard.
- Maximum weight capacity for the chair is 330 pounds (150 kg). Do not exceed this limit.

Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your lounge chair and ottoman.
Step 1: Attach Armrests to Chair Seat
Align the armrests with the pre-drilled holes on the sides of the chair seat. Secure them using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Do not overtighten initially.

Step 2: Attach Backrest to Chair Seat and Armrests
Carefully connect the backrest to the assembled seat and armrests. Ensure all holes align and secure with screws. Fully tighten all screws for the chair frame.

Step 3: Assemble Chair Base
Attach the 5-star chair base to the bottom of the assembled chair frame. Ensure it is securely fastened. The chair base allows for 360-degree rotation.

Step 4: Assemble Ottoman
Attach the 4-star ottoman base to the ottoman cushion. Secure all connections firmly.

Operating Instructions
Adjusting the Backrest
The lounge chair features an adjustable backrest with a range of 110° to 145°. To adjust the backrest, locate the lever on the side of the chair (refer to Figure 1). Pull the lever to release the locking mechanism, then lean back or forward to your desired angle. Release the lever to lock the backrest in position. The high-quality liquid device ensures a smooth and controlled adjustment.

Using the Ottoman
The included ottoman provides additional comfort and support for your legs. Position it in front of the lounge chair as desired. It is designed to complement the chair's ergonomic tilt angle.
Maintenance
Cleaning the PU Leather
The PU leather surface is designed for easy cleaning. For general cleaning, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the material.
Wood Care
The laminated wood components can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to prevent warping or fading. Do not use furniture polish containing silicone.
Hardware Inspection
Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
Troubleshooting
- Issue: Chair feels unstable or wobbly.
- Solution: Check all assembly screws and bolts. Ensure they are fully tightened. Verify that the chair is on a flat, even surface.
- Issue: Backrest adjustment is stiff or not locking.
- Solution: Ensure the adjustment lever is fully engaged or disengaged. Check for any obstructions in the mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Issue: Squeaking noises during use.
- Solution: Re-tighten all screws and bolts. A small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to moving parts if the noise persists, avoiding contact with upholstery.
