5. Setup and Installation

Typically, this involves connecting the power supply (Live, Neutral) and the boiler control terminals (e.g., Switched Live, Common). Consult a qualified electrician or heating engineer for this step. Incorrect wiring can cause damage or electric shock.
  4. Power On: Once wiring is complete and secure, restore power to your heating system. The Power Indicator LED on the receiver unit should illuminate.

5.2. Thermostat Unit Setup

  1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the thermostat unit. Insert 2x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment. The display should power on.
  2. Placement: Place the thermostat unit in a central location in the room you wish to control, away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources. Ensure it is at a height of approximately 1.5 meters from the floor for accurate temperature readings.

5.3. Pairing the Thermostat and Receiver Units

The thermostat unit and receiver unit must be paired to communicate wirelessly.

  1. On the receiver unit, press and hold the Pairing Button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the Relay Status LED starts flashing rapidly. This indicates it is in pairing mode.
  2. Within 30 seconds, on the thermostat unit, press and hold the Mode button (or a dedicated pairing button if available, refer to specific model instructions) for 3-5 seconds. The thermostat display may show a pairing icon or message.
  3. Once successfully paired, the Relay Status LED on the receiver unit will stop flashing and remain solid (or turn off, depending on the model's design), and the thermostat display will show a stable wireless connection icon.
  4. Test the connection by adjusting the temperature on the thermostat. The Relay Status LED on the receiver should change state (e.g., turn on if heating is requested).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

  • To turn the thermostat unit on, press the Power button.
  • To turn the thermostat unit off, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds. The display will turn off.

6.2. Setting the Desired Temperature

When the thermostat is on, the display shows the current room temperature.

  1. Press the Up Arrow (▲) button to increase the desired temperature.
  2. Press the Down Arrow (▼) button to decrease the desired temperature.
  3. The set temperature will flash briefly and then be saved. The thermostat will now work to maintain this temperature.

6.3. Operating Modes (If Applicable)

  • Heat Mode: The thermostat will activate the heating system when the room temperature falls below the set temperature.

  4. Close the battery compartment. The thermostat will restart and retain its settings.
