4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Godox TT350N uses two AA batteries. Ni-MH batteries are recommended for optimal performance and recycling time. Alkaline batteries (LR6) can also be used.

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the side of the flash unit.
2. Insert two AA batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Mounting to Camera

To mount the flash unit onto your camera's hotshoe:

1. Loosen the lock ring on the flash unit by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. Slide the flash's hotshoe fully into your camera's hotshoe mount.
3. Tighten the lock ring by turning it clockwise until the flash is securely attached to the camera.

4.3 Power On/Off

• To power on, slide the Power Switch to the 'ON' position. The flash will begin charging, and the red flash ready indicator will light up when ready.
• To power off, slide the Power Switch to the 'OFF' position.

5. Operating Modes

The TT350N offers various flash modes to suit different shooting scenarios. Press the MODE button to cycle through the available modes.

5.1 TTL Autoflash Mode

In TTL mode, the flash output is automatically adjusted by the camera to achieve correct exposure. This mode is ideal for quick shooting and changing light conditions.

• Press the MODE button until 'TTL' is displayed on the LCD panel.
• The flash will automatically adjust its output based on the camera's metering.

5.2 Manual Flash Mode (M)

Manual mode allows you to set the flash output power manually from 1/1 (full power) to 1/128 in 1/3 stop increments. This provides precise control over lighting.

• Press the MODE button until 'M' is displayed.
• Turn the Select Dial to adjust the flash output power.

5.3 Multi Flash Mode (Multi)

Multi flash mode (stroboscopic flash) fires a series of rapid flashes during a single exposure, creating multiple images of a moving subject in one frame.

• Use the Select Dial and SET button to adjust the flash frequency (Hz), number of flashes, and flash output.

5.4 High-Speed Sync (HSS)

High-Speed Sync allows the flash to synchronize with all camera shutter speeds, up to 1/8000s. This is useful for shooting with wide apertures in bright conditions or freezing fast motion.

• Press the SYNC button to activate HSS. The HSS icon will appear on the LCD.

5.5 First/Second Curtain Sync

First curtain sync fires the flash at the beginning of the exposure. Second curtain sync fires the flash just before the shutter closes, creating a trail of light behind moving subjects.

5.6 Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC)

• Turn the Select Dial to adjust the FEC value.
• Press the SET button again to confirm.

5.7 Modeling Flash

6.1 2.4G Wireless Transmission (Master/Slave)

The built-in Godox 2.4G wireless X system allows the TT350N to function as a master or slave unit, controlling or being controlled by other compatible Godox flashes and triggers.

• Master Unit: The TT350N can control other Godox slave units such as AD600, AD600M, AD360II-C, AD360II-N, V860IIN, V850II, TT685N, and TT600.
• Slave Unit: The TT350N can be controlled by Godox master units like X1T-N, V860IIN, V850II, TT685N, and TT600.
• To activate wireless mode, long press the GR/CH button (Wireless Selection Button) for 2 seconds.
• Use the GR/CH button and Select Dial to set the group (A, B, C) and channel (1-16).
• Ensure all units are set to the same channel and group for proper communication.

6.2 Optical Transmission (S1/S2 Slave)

The TT350N can also function as an optical slave, triggered by another flash unit's light pulse.

• S1 Mode: The flash will fire in response to the first flash from a master flash. This mode is suitable for manual flash environments.
• S2 Mode: The flash will ignore the pre-flash from a master TTL flash and fire in response to the second flash. This mode is suitable for TTL master flashes.
• To activate S1 or S2 mode, press the SLAVE button (S1/S2 Optic Slave Triggering Selection Button) until 'S1' or 'S2' is displayed.

The TT350N features customizable functions (C.Fn) that allow you to tailor the flash's behavior to your preferences.

• Long press the C.Fn button for 2 seconds to enter the custom function settings menu.
• Use the Select Dial to navigate through the available functions.
• Press the SET button to select a function and then use the Select Dial to change its value.
• Press the SET button again to confirm the change.
• Long press the C.Fn button again to exit the custom function settings.

8. Maintenance

• Clean the flash unit regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals.
• Remove batteries when the flash is not in use for an extended period to prevent leakage.
