4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

This jigsaw is part of the PARKSIDE X 20 V Team series and requires a compatible 20V battery and charger, which are sold separately. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.

4.2 Blade Installation

The jigsaw features a Saw Lock quick-release chuck for easy blade changes. Use standard jigsaw blades with a single lug shank.

1. Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed.
2. Push the Saw Lock quick-release chuck lever (4) upwards to open the chuck.
3. Insert the blade into the chuck with the teeth facing forward.
4. Release the lever to secure the blade. Gently pull on the blade to ensure it is firmly seated.

4.3 Parallel Guide and Dust Extraction Setup

The included parallel guide assists in making straight cuts. The dust extraction adapter allows connection to an external vacuum cleaner for a cleaner work environment.

• To attach the parallel guide, slide it into the slots on the base plate and secure it with the locking screw.
• Connect the dust extraction adapter to the dust port (8) and then attach a vacuum hose.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off and Speed Control

• To start the jigsaw, press the On/Off switch (1).
• To stop, release the switch.
• Adjust the cutting speed using the speed control dial (2) to match the material being cut.

5.2 Pendulum Stroke Adjustment

The pendulum stroke function allows for faster cutting progress and improved curve maneuverability. It can be adjusted to 3 levels or set to fine cut (0) for precise work.

• Level 0 (Fine Cut): No pendulum action, for precise cuts and delicate materials.
• Levels 1-3: Increasing pendulum action for faster cutting in softer materials like wood.

5.3 Bevel Cut Adjustment

The base plate can be angled for bevel cuts at 0°, 15°, 30°, and 45° to both the left and right.

1. Loosen the bevel angle adjustment lever (10) on the base plate.
2. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle (0°, 15°, 30°, or 45°).
3. Tighten the lever to secure the base plate in position.

5.4 Integrated Features

• LED Work Light (7): Illuminates the cutting line for improved visibility.
• Blower Function: Clears sawdust from the cutting line, ensuring a clear view of your work.
