1. Introduction

1.1 Product Overview

PEMCO FLUSHOIL is a low-viscosity mineral oil specifically formulated with good washing and cleaning properties. It is designed to effectively clean various lubrication systems.

1.2 Intended Use

• Used to flush oil sumps and lubrication systems of internal combustion engines.
• Can also be used to flush transmissions and gearboxes to remove dirt, deposits, and wear particles.
• Formulated to SAE 10 viscosity grade.

2. Safety Information

Important Safety Precautions:

• Avoid release to the environment.
• Collect spillage.
• Used oil and packaging may only be discharged through designated channels. Dispose of contents at a special waste collection point.
• Avoid skin contact. Wash skin thoroughly after handling.
• Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
• First Aid:
• IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
• IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a doctor.
• Keep out of reach of children.

3. Product Components

4. Setup and Preparation

Before using PEMCO FLUSHOIL, ensure the engine or gearbox is at operating temperature. This helps in better circulation and removal of deposits. Always consult your vehicle's or equipment's service manual for specific flushing procedures and capacities.

• Ensure the vehicle or equipment is on a level surface.
• Gather necessary tools: drain pan, wrench for drain plug, new oil filter (if applicable), and fresh engine/gear oil.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves and eye protection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Engine Flushing Procedure

1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Turn off the engine.
3. Add the entire contents of the PEMCO FLUSHOIL bottle (4 Liters) to the engine's oil filler opening. Do not exceed the maximum oil level indicated on the dipstick.
4. Start the engine and let it idle for approximately 10-15 minutes. Do not drive the vehicle or rev the engine excessively during this process.
5. Turn off the engine.
6. Immediately drain the old oil (now mixed with FLUSHOIL) from the engine's oil pan.
7. Replace the oil filter with a new one.
8. Refill the engine with the recommended fresh engine oil according to the manufacturer's specifications.
9. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

5.2 Transmission and Gearbox Flushing Procedure

For transmissions and gearboxes, the procedure may vary significantly depending on the type (manual, automatic) and manufacturer. It is highly recommended to consult a qualified mechanic or the equipment's service manual for precise instructions.

• General Guideline: Drain the existing transmission/gearbox fluid.
• Add PEMCO FLUSHOIL in the appropriate quantity (consult service manual for capacity).
• Operate the transmission/gearbox for a short period (e.g., 5-10 minutes) without heavy load.
• Drain the FLUSHOIL mixture.
• Refill with new, manufacturer-specified transmission/gearbox fluid.

Warning: Incorrect flushing procedures for transmissions can cause severe damage. Professional assistance is advised.

6. Maintenance and Storage

Store PEMCO FLUSHOIL in its original container, tightly sealed, in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and incompatible materials. Ensure the container is stored upright to prevent leakage.

• Do not store near food or drink.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

7. Troubleshooting

PEMCO FLUSHOIL is a cleaning agent and not intended for continuous use as a lubricant. If you experience any issues after using the product, such as unusual engine noises or fluid leaks, immediately cease operation and consult a qualified mechanic.

• Issue: Engine/gearbox not draining completely after flush.
• Solution: Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface. Check for any obstructions in the drain plug or pan. Allow sufficient time for complete drainage.
• Issue: Residue observed after flushing.
• Solution: While FLUSHOIL is effective, heavily contaminated systems may require a second flush or professional cleaning. Ensure proper drainage and new oil fill.
