Installation and Setup
Mounting
The PLMRBT18 is designed for universal vehicle mounting and can be in-console flush mounted. Choose a location that is easily accessible and provides clear line-of-sight for Bluetooth connectivity, while also being protected from direct harsh elements if not fully enclosed.
- Select a flat surface for mounting the unit.
- Use the provided flush mounting kit to secure the controller. Ensure the mounting hole is appropriately sized for a snug fit.
- Confirm the unit is securely fastened to prevent movement during vehicle operation.

Wiring
Connect the integrated power wiring harness according to the following guidelines. It is recommended to have this installed by a professional if you are unsure about vehicle electrical systems.
- Connect the Red wire (ACC) to a switched 12V power source (e.g., ignition accessory). This is crucial for the unit to power on and off correctly.
- Connect the Yellow wire (B+) to a constant 12V power source.
- Connect the Black wire (GND) to a solid chassis ground point.
- Connect the speaker wires (typically pairs of solid and striped wires) to your speakers. Ensure correct polarity for optimal sound.
- If using an external amplifier, connect the RCA pre-amp outputs from the PLMRBT18 to the inputs of your amplifier.
- Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
Operation
Power On/Off
- To power on the unit, press and hold the POWER button (center button) until the unit illuminates.
- To power off the unit, press and hold the POWER button again until the illumination turns off.
Bluetooth Pairing
The PLMRBT18 features hassle-free Bluetooth pairing for wireless audio streaming.
- Ensure the PLMRBT18 unit is powered on.
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select 'PyleAudio' or a similar name from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the unit will confirm the connection, and you can begin streaming audio. The unit will typically remember the last connected device for automatic re-connection.

Audio Control
- Volume Up: Press the + VOL button.
- Volume Down: Press the - VOL button.
- Play/Pause: Press the POWER button (center button) briefly.
- Next Track: Press the >>| button.
- Previous Track: Press the |<< button.
Auxiliary Input
To use the 3.5mm auxiliary input:
- Connect your external audio device to the 3.5mm AUX input port on the PLMRBT18 using the provided cable.
- Press the SOURCE button (typically indicated by a </> icon) to switch to auxiliary input mode.
- Control playback from your connected external device. Volume can still be adjusted via the PLMRBT18 unit.
