Setup

Follow these steps to set up your washing machine:

  1. Placement: Position the machine on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is close to a water source and a drain. The machine is lightweight and portable, suitable for apartments, RVs, or camping.
  2. Connect Water Inlet: Attach one end of the inlet pipe to the water inlet on the machine (typically located at the top rear). Connect the other end to a suitable faucet. Ensure connections are secure to prevent leaks.
  3. Position Drain Hose: Place the drain hose into a sink, bathtub, or other suitable drainage area. Ensure the hose is not kinked and is positioned to allow for proper water flow.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 110V/60Hz electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Washing Clothes

  1. Load Clothes: Open the lid of the washer tub and place clothes inside. Do not overload; the washer can hold up to 8 lbs (3.6 kg).
  2. Add Water: Turn on the water faucet connected to the inlet hose to fill the washer tub with water. Fill to the desired level, ensuring clothes are submerged.
  3. Add Detergent: Add an appropriate amount of laundry detergent directly into the washer tub.
  4. Set Wash Timer: Turn the "Wash Timer" knob to select the desired wash time (up to 15 minutes).
  5. Select Wash Mode: Turn the "Select Switch" knob to choose between "Standard" or "Gentle" wash modes.
  6. The machine will begin agitating. Once the timer completes, the washing cycle will stop.

Spin Drying Clothes

  1. Transfer Clothes: After washing, transfer the wet clothes from the washer tub to the spin dryer tub. Do not overload; the spin dryer can hold up to 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg), which is approximately half of the washing capacity.
  2. Secure Spin Cap: Place the spin cap firmly on top of the clothes inside the spin tub. This prevents clothes from being thrown out during high-speed spinning.
  3. Set Spin Timer: Close the spin tub lid and turn the "Spin Timer" knob to select the desired spin time (up to 5 minutes).
  4. The spin dryer will start. Once the timer completes, the spin cycle will stop. Clothes will be damp, not fully dry, and will require air drying or further machine drying.

Draining Water

To drain water from the machine:

  • Ensure the drain hose is positioned correctly in a drain.
  • Turn the "Wash & Drain Selector Switch" to the "Drain" position. Water will begin to flow out of the drain hose.
  • Once all water has drained, return the "Wash & Drain Selector Switch" to the "Wash" position.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VIVOHOME washing machine:

  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cleaning the Interior: After each use, wipe down the inside of both tubs to remove any residual water or detergent. Leave the lids open for a period to allow the tubs to air dry and prevent mildew.
  • Cleaning the Lint Filter: The machine is equipped with an upgraded filter to collect lint. Regularly remove and clean this filter to maintain efficient operation. Refer to Figure 2 and 3 for filter location.
  • Drain Hose: Periodically check the drain hose for blockages or kinks. Ensure it is clean and clear for proper drainage.
  • Storage: If storing the machine for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your washing machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Machine does not start. Not plugged in; power outage; timer not set. Check power connection; verify power supply; ensure timer knob is turned.
Water does not drain. Drain hose kinked or blocked; drain selector not set to "Drain". Straighten drain hose and clear any blockages; turn "Wash & Drain Selector Switch" to "Drain".
Spin tub vibrates excessively or stops. Clothes unevenly distributed; overloaded spin tub; machine not on a level surface. Redistribute clothes evenly; reduce load size; ensure machine is on a stable, level surface.
Water leaks. Inlet or drain hose not securely connected; hose damaged. Check and tighten all hose connections; inspect hoses for damage and replace if necessary.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer service for further assistance.
