  • Do not use the appliance near water sources such as bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water unless explicitly stated as fully waterproof in the product specifications. This model is fully washable, meaning it can be rinsed under running water, but should not be submerged for extended periods.
  • Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance to ensure safe and optimal performance.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Ensure the appliance is fully charged or connected to a stable power source before use to avoid power interruptions during cutting.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Philips Hairclipper.

5.1 Cleaning the Hairclipper

  • After each use, turn off the appliance and detach the comb attachment.
  • Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any loose hairs from the cutting element and the comb.
  • Since the hair clipper is fully washable, you can rinse the cutting head and the comb attachment under running tap water. Ensure no water enters the main body of the clipper if it's not explicitly designed for full immersion.
  • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reattaching the comb or storing the clipper.

5.2 Blade Lubrication

The self-sharpening stainless steel blades generally do not require lubrication. However, if you notice reduced performance or increased noise, a small drop of light machine oil (e.g., sewing machine oil) on the blades can help maintain their smooth operation. Apply oil only after cleaning and drying the blades.
