1. Product Overview

The Angveirt Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent is a humane and effective solution designed to deter rodents such as rats, mice, rabbits, martens, and chipmunks from various areas including car engines, basements, garages, attics, and storage rooms. This battery-operated device utilizes powerful and random blasts of ultrasounds and strobe lights to create an unwelcoming environment for pests, encouraging them to leave the protected area.

  • Humane Repellent: Repels rodents without harming them.
  • Wide Coverage: Effective in areas up to 300 sq. ft. per unit.

WARNING: Contains strobe lights that may trigger seizures for people and pets with photosensitive epilepsy. Please note this when using it.

2. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Angveirt Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent:

  1. Battery Installation:

Locate the battery compartment on the side of the device. Open the compartment and insert 3 "AA" alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment door securely.

  2. Placement:

Place the repellent in the desired area where rodent activity is observed. Common locations include car engine bays, garages, attics, basements, and storage rooms. Ensure the ultrasonic speaker and LED strobe lights are not obstructed.

Various usage locations for the rodent repellent

Figure 4: The repellent can be used in various indoor and vehicle locations, including passenger compartments, engine bays, trunks, garages, attics, warehouses, basements, and kitchens.

For car engine bays, use the provided zip ties to secure the device to a stable surface, away from direct heat or moving parts. It is recommended to face the strobe lights towards the area with the most severe rodent damage or activity.

  3. Power On:

Flip the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The device will begin its operation cycle.

3. Operating Instructions

The Angveirt Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent operates in cycles to maximize effectiveness and prevent rodents from becoming accustomed to the deterrents.

Operation Modes:

  • Test/Ultra Mode Switch: This switch allows you to select between "Test" mode and "Ultra" mode.
    • Test Mode: Converts inaudible ultrasounds to audible sounds, allowing you to verify the device is functioning. This mode is for testing purposes only and should not be used for continuous operation.
    • Ultra Mode: Emits ultrasonic frequencies (25,000Hz to 55,000Hz) that are inaudible to humans but highly effective at repelling rodents.
  • Automatic ON/OFF (Vibration Sensor):

When placed in a vehicle, the repellent features an intelligent vibration sensor. It will automatically enter standby mode when the car engine starts (detects vibration) to conserve battery life and avoid interference. When the car is parked and no vibration is detected, the device will automatically resume its repelling function.

Figure 6: The device automatically switches to standby mode when the car is in motion and resumes working when the car is parked.

  • Ultrasonic Frequency Range:

The device emits ultrasounds varying between 25,000Hz to 55,000Hz, which is inaudible to humans but audible and irritating to rodents. This variable frequency prevents pests from adapting to the sound.

4. Maintenance

To ensure continuous and effective rodent deterrence, regular maintenance is required:

  • Battery Replacement: The 3 "AA" alkaline batteries typically last for approximately 85 days (about 2.5 to 3 months) of 24-hour operation. Replace batteries promptly when the indicator light signals low power or when you notice decreased effectiveness.
  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust or debris that might obstruct the speaker or LED lights. Do not use harsh chemicals or immerse the device in water.
  • Check Placement: Regularly inspect the placement of the device to ensure it remains securely attached and its output is not blocked by new obstructions.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Angveirt Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent, consider the following:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not turning on or no lights/sound (in Test Mode)
  • Dead or incorrectly installed batteries.
  • ON/OFF switch is in the "OFF" position.
  • Replace batteries with new "AA" alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Flip the ON/OFF switch to "ON".
Rodents still present after installation
  • Device is obstructed.
  • Area is too large for a single unit.
  • Rodents may be temporarily accustomed to the sound (rare due to variable frequency).
  • Device is in standby mode (for vehicle use).
  • Ensure the speaker and LED lights are unobstructed.
  • Consider adding more units for larger areas (each unit covers approx. 300 sq. ft.).
  • Ensure the device is in "Ultra" mode for continuous repelling.
  • Verify the vehicle is parked for the device to operate.
Strobe lights causing issues for sensitive individuals/petsPhotosensitive epilepsy risk.Relocate the device to an area where the strobe lights are not visible to affected individuals or pets. Consider alternative pest control methods if relocation is not feasible.
