Setup
1. Download the Wyze App
The Wyze Plug operates without a separate hub. All control and setup are managed through the Wyze App. Download the official Wyze App from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Plug in Your Wyze Plug
Insert the Wyze Plug into a standard 110V AC outlet. Ensure the outlet is functioning correctly.
3. Initiate Pairing Mode
Press and hold the power button located on the side of the Wyze Plug until the LED status light begins to flash blue. This indicates the device is ready for pairing.
4. Pair with the Wyze App
Open the Wyze App, tap the '+' icon to add a new device, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Wyze Plug to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The Wyze Plug is compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.
5. Name Your Plug
Assign a descriptive name to each Wyze Plug (e.g., "Living Room Lamp," "Coffee Maker"). This helps with easy identification and voice control commands.
6. Integrate with Voice Assistants (Optional)
The Wyze Plug works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Follow the instructions in your Alexa or Google Home app to link your Wyze account and enable voice control for your plugs.
7. Connect with IFTTT (Optional)
For advanced automation, the Wyze Plug supports IFTTT (If This Then That). This allows you to create custom rules and interactions with other smart home devices and services.
Operating the Wyze Plug
Remote Control via Wyze App
Control your plugged-in devices from anywhere using the Wyze App. You can turn devices on or off, check their status, and monitor run times.

Voice Control
Use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to control your Wyze Plugs. For example, say "Alexa, turn on the air purifier" or "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom light."

Scheduling
Set custom schedules in the Wyze App to automatically turn your devices on or off at specific times. This is ideal for daily routines like brewing coffee in the morning or turning off lights at night.

Vacation Mode
Activate Vacation Mode to randomly turn devices on and off, simulating occupancy and deterring potential intruders when you are away from home.

Grouping
Group multiple Wyze Plugs together in the app to control an entire room or set of devices with a single tap or voice command.
Manual Control
Each Wyze Plug features a physical on/off button on its side, allowing for manual control directly at the outlet if needed.
Maintenance
The Wyze Plug requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. Regularly check the Wyze App for firmware updates, as these often include performance improvements and bug fixes, particularly for connectivity stability.
Troubleshooting
Connectivity Issues
- Plug Disconnects from Wi-Fi: If your Wyze Plug frequently disconnects, ensure it is within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Some users have reported improved stability after recent firmware updates.
- Cannot Re-establish Connection: If the plug goes offline, a physical hard restart (unplugging and re-plugging) may be necessary to re-establish the connection.
- Light Not Flashing Blue: During setup, if the status light does not flash blue, press and hold the physical on/off button on the side of the plug until it begins to flash.
Overloading
The Wyze Plug has a maximum output of 15 Amps (1650 watts at 110V). Do not plug in appliances that exceed these limits to prevent overloading and potential damage to the plug or appliance.
