Safety Instructions

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
  3. Rinse Water Tank: Remove the water tank, rinse it with fresh water, and fill it to the MAX level.
  4. First Use Rinse Cycle:
    • Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
    • Place a large container (at least 12 oz) under the brew head.
    • Press the rinse button (often indicated by a water droplet icon) to initiate a rinse cycle. This cleans the internal system.
    • Repeat the rinse cycle 2-3 times or until the water runs clear.

Operating Instructions

The K-FEE Grande offers 4 programmable drink settings for espresso, lungo, and large coffee, with Duo Pressure technology for crema control.

  1. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
  2. Insert Pod: Open the capsule holder and insert a K-FEE compatible coffee or espresso pod. Close the holder securely.
  3. Place Cup: Position your cup on the drip tray. Adjust the drip tray height if necessary for different cup sizes.
  4. Select Drink: Choose your desired drink size from the illuminated LED display.
    • Espresso: Typically a small cup icon.
    • Lungo: Often a medium cup icon.
    • Large Coffee: Usually a large cup icon.
    • The machine features Duo Pressure technology, allowing for espresso with or without a crema layer.
  5. Brew: Press the corresponding button to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop when the selected volume is reached.
  6. Remove Used Pod: After brewing, the used pod will automatically drop into the used pod container.

Note: For milk-based drinks like cappuccino or latte macchiato, the K-FEE Lattaero Milk Frother (sold separately) is recommended.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your K-FEE Grande machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Water Tank: Empty and rinse daily. Refill with fresh water.
  • Drip Tray & Used Pod Container: Empty and clean daily. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling:

The machine has a descaling program with a reminder function. Descale your machine regularly, especially in areas with hard water, to prevent mineral buildup.

  1. Refer to the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions for proper dilution.
  2. Follow the machine's descaling program as indicated by the reminder function on the LED display.
  3. Rinse the machine thoroughly after descaling to remove any residue.

Troubleshooting
