4.3 First Use

Before ironing clothes for the first time, it is recommended to iron an old piece of fabric to remove any manufacturing residues from the soleplate. Some steam irons may produce a slight odor or smoke during the first use; this is normal and will dissipate quickly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Setting

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the garment's care label.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.

Tip: Always start with fabrics requiring lower temperatures and gradually increase for higher temperature fabrics.

5.2 Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is effective for most fabrics. Ensure the water tank is filled.

  1. Set the temperature control to the steam zone (usually marked with a steam symbol).
  2. Once the indicator light turns off, adjust the steam control to the desired steam output.
  3. Move the iron over the fabric. The Drip Stop system will prevent water leakage at low temperatures.

5.3 Dry Ironing

For delicate fabrics or when steam is not required:

  1. Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to the "dry ironing" position.
  2. Set the temperature control dial to the appropriate setting for your fabric.
  3. Proceed with ironing as usual.

5.4 Steam Boost (Shot of Steam)

For stubborn creases, press the steam boost button. This delivers a powerful burst of steam (110 g/min). Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat.

5.5 Vertical Steam

To remove wrinkles from hanging garments, curtains, or drapes:

  1. Hold the iron vertically, about 15-30 cm away from the fabric.
  2. Press the steam boost button repeatedly.
  3. Ensure the iron is at its maximum temperature setting for optimal vertical steam performance.

5.6 3-Way Auto Shut-off

For safety, the iron will automatically turn off if:

  • Left horizontally or on its side for 30 seconds.
  • Left vertically on its heel rest for 8 minutes.

The indicator light will flash when auto shut-off is active. To restart, simply move the iron.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iron.

6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

Allow the iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use metallic scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Self Clean Function

The Self Clean function helps remove mineral deposits from the steam chamber.

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX level with tap water.
  2. Set the temperature dial to maximum and plug in the iron.
  3. Once the indicator light goes out, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the Self Clean button (if available, otherwise refer to manual for specific button). Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities.
  6. Gently shake the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Plug in the iron again and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
  8. Unplug and store once cooled.

6.3 Anti-Calc System

The integrated anti-calc system reduces limescale buildup. However, regular use of distilled or demineralized water is still recommended, especially in hard water areas.

6.4 Storage

After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron vertically on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
