3. Installation

Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Downrod:
Remove the hanger ball from the downrod by loosening the set screw and removing the cross pin. This allows for easier assembly and selection of downrod length.

- Attach Downrod to Motor:
Feed the electrical wires from the fan motor through the selected downrod. Secure the downrod to the motor housing using the provided pin and screws. Ensure the downrod is firmly seated.

- Install Mounting Bracket:
Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling outlet box using appropriate screws (e.g., screw AA). Ensure the bracket is securely fastened to support the fan's weight.
- Wire Connection:
Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with wire nuts. Install the remote receiver within the canopy.

- Hang the Fan:
Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it onto the mounting bracket. Ensure the hanger ball is properly seated in the bracket's opening.
- Attach Fan Blades:
Attach each fan blade to its corresponding blade arm using the provided screws (e.g., screw DD). Then, attach the blade arm assemblies to the motor housing using screws (e.g., screw GG).

- Install Light Kit and Crystal Shade:
Connect the light kit wires and install the LED bulbs. Carefully attach the crystal drum light shade to the fan motor housing, securing it with screws (e.g., screw JJ). Finally, assemble and hang the decorative crystal strings onto the shade.

Sloped Ceiling Installation:

4. Operating Instructions
The JONATHAN Y JYL9608A ceiling fan is operated via the included remote control.
Remote Control Functions:

5. Maintenance

- Cleaning: To clean the fan, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the crystal shade, gently wipe with a lint-free cloth.
- Bulb Replacement: The fan uses LED bulbs. When replacing, ensure power is off. The bulbs are GU5.3 base.
- Tighten Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten all screws and fasteners on the fan blades and mounting hardware to prevent wobbling or noise.
6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your fan, consult the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Fan does not start: Check that the circuit breaker is on and the wiring connections are secure. Ensure the remote control has fresh batteries and is paired correctly.
- Light does not work: Verify that the bulbs are correctly installed and not loose. Check the wiring connections for the light kit.
- Excessive wobbling: Ensure all blade screws are tightened. Check that the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the ceiling. Verify that the downrod is properly seated in the hanger ball.
- Noisy operation: Confirm all screws are tight. Check for any loose parts or obstructions. Some crystal jingle may occur at high speeds.
