1. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials from the box. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
3. First Use (Burn-Off): Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (Level 7) for one cycle. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be present during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Toasting

1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the toaster. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Insert Bread: Place up to two slices of bread into the long slot. The 1.5-inch wide slot accommodates various bread types.
3. Select Shade Level: Rotate the browning control knob to select your desired shade level from 1 (lightest) to 7 (darkest).

4. Start Toasting: Press the CANCEL/START button. The toaster will automatically lower the bread into the toasting chamber. You can observe the toasting process through the glass window.
5. Completion: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toaster will emit an audible beep, and the bread will automatically lift.

6. Cancel Function: To stop the toasting process at any time, press the CANCEL/START button again. The bread will immediately lift.

4.2 Special Functions

• Defrost Function: For toasting frozen bread, insert the bread, select your desired shade level, and then press the DEFROST button before pressing CANCEL/START. The defrost indicator light will illuminate. This function adds extra time to the toasting cycle to thaw and then toast the bread.
• Bagel Function: For toasting bagels, insert the bagel halves with the cut side facing inwards. Select your desired shade level, and then press the BAGEL button before pressing CANCEL/START. The bagel indicator light will illuminate. This function toasts the cut side while gently warming the outer side.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Empty Crumb Tray: The crumb tray is located at the bottom of the toaster. Gently pull it out to remove accumulated crumbs. Dispose of crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Reinsert the tray securely.

3. Clean Glass Panels: The glass panels can slide out for thorough cleaning. Carefully slide them out and wipe them with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used. Ensure panels are completely dry before reinserting.
4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
5. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the toaster body, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
