Operating Instructions
Automatic Operation
The FREELICHT Emergency Light Fixture is designed for automatic operation. When connected to a continuous power supply, the internal battery will charge. In the event of a power outage, the fixture will automatically switch to battery power, illuminating the LED heads for a minimum of 90 minutes.
Adjusting Light Heads
The two LED lamp heads are adjustable, allowing you to direct light where it is most needed. Each head can rotate 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically to cater to various lighting requirements.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your emergency light fixture.
- Monthly Test: Press the test button for at least 30 seconds to ensure the lights illuminate. This verifies the battery and lamp functionality.
- Annual Test: Conduct a full 90-minute discharge test annually. Disconnect AC power to the unit, allow the battery to discharge completely, and then restore AC power to recharge. Ensure the lights remain illuminated for the full 90 minutes.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the fixture and lamp heads periodically with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: The NiCd battery has a limited lifespan. If the unit fails to maintain illumination for 90 minutes during an annual test, the battery may need replacement. Contact customer support for guidance on obtaining a replacement battery.
