1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Euroset 2025C Corded Landline Phone. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new telephone. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

The Euroset 2025C features FSK & DTMF dual mode compatibility, hearing aid compatibility, a key lock function, storage for 50 call list entries, selectable flash times, display dialing, last 5 number redial, adjustable three-ring tone with 10 melodies, adjustable tone frequency, mute function with melody, open listening and hands-free talking with optical signaling via LED, on-hook dialing, adjustable handset volume, and a real-time clock.

5. Setup

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the jack on the left side of the phone base (refer to Figure 4.3).
  2. Connect the Line Cord: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the jack labeled with a telephone icon on the rear of the phone base, and the other end into your telephone wall jack (refer to Figure 4.3).
  3. Placement: Place the phone on a flat, stable surface or mount it on a wall using the integrated mounting points. Ensure it is away from direct heat, moisture, and other electronic devices that may cause interference.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Making and Answering Calls

  • To Make a Call: Lift the handset, wait for a dial tone, and then dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  • To Answer a Call: When the phone rings, simply lift the handset.
  • On-Hook Dialing: You can dial a number without lifting the handset. The number will appear on the display. Lift the handset or press the hands-free button to connect the call.

6.2 Redial Function

The phone stores the last 5 dialed numbers. To redial one of these numbers:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the Redial button (usually marked 'R' or a curved arrow).
  3. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll through the last 5 numbers.
  4. Press the Dial button or lift the handset (if not already lifted) to call the selected number.

6.3 Repertory Keys (Speed Dialing)

The Euroset 2025C features dedicated repertory keys for quick dialing of frequently used numbers (refer to Figure 4.2). Consult your phone's specific programming instructions for setting these keys. Typically, this involves:

  1. Entering programming mode (often by pressing a 'Set' or 'Program' button).
  2. Selecting a repertory key.
  3. Entering the phone number to be stored.
  4. Saving the entry.

To use a repertory key, simply lift the handset and press the desired repertory key.

6.4 Hands-Free / Open Listening

To activate hands-free mode during a call or for open listening:

  • Press the Hands-Free button (often marked with a speaker icon). An LED indicator will typically light up.
  • To switch back to handset mode, lift the handset.

6.5 Volume Adjustment

  • Handset Volume: During a call, use the volume control buttons (often marked with '+' and '-') to adjust the handset's listening volume (3 steps).
  • Ringer Volume: Adjust the incoming call ringer volume (4 steps) and tone frequency (3 levels) using dedicated buttons or menu settings. Refer to the display for options.

6.6 Key Lock Function

The key lock function prevents accidental dialing. To activate or deactivate, refer to the specific button or menu option on your phone, usually indicated by a lock icon.

6.7 Flash Function

The flash function is used for services like call waiting or transferring calls. The flash time is selectable (90/120/270/375/600ms) and can usually be adjusted through the phone's settings menu to match your telephone service provider's requirements.

6.8 Real-Time Clock

The phone's real-time clock automatically sets itself upon receiving an incoming call, acquiring the time stamp from the Caller ID data. It maintains the correct time thereafter.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the phone's surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: If storing the phone for an extended period, disconnect it from the telephone line and store it in a cool, dry place.
