5. Operating Instructions

Once the steamer is set up, follow these steps to begin steaming:

  1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220V). Press the ON/OFF button. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the steamer is heating up.
  2. Heat-Up Time: The steamer will heat up rapidly, typically within 20 seconds. The indicator light may change or stop flashing once ready.
  3. Select Steam Mode:
    • Manual Mode: Slide the steam mode switch to the 'Manual' position. Press and hold the steam trigger to release steam. Release to stop.
    • Automatic Mode: Slide the steam mode switch to the 'Automatic' position. Steam will be continuously released without needing to hold the trigger.
  4. Steaming Garments: Hang the garment on a hanger or hold it taut. Hold the steamer upright, keeping the steam head a few inches away from the fabric. Move the steamer slowly over the fabric, allowing the steam to penetrate and relax the fibers. For stubborn wrinkles, you can gently press the steam head against the fabric.
  5. Continuous Use: The 280ml water tank provides 15-20 minutes of continuous steam. Refill the tank as needed, ensuring the steamer is unplugged before refilling.
  6. Power Off: When finished, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the steamer. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your steamer.

  • Cleaning: After each use, ensure the steamer is unplugged and completely cooled. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Empty Water Tank: Always empty any remaining water from the tank after each use to prevent mineral buildup and odors.
  • Descaling (Monthly): To prevent mineral buildup, especially if using tap water (though distilled water is recommended), descale the steamer monthly. Fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Run the steamer until half of the solution is used, then turn off and let it sit for 30 minutes. Run the remaining solution through, then rinse the tank and steam with fresh water several times.
  • Storage: Store the steamer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the water tank is empty before storage.
