4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Placement: Position the scale platform on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring.
- Ramp Attachment: Attach the two ramps to the designated slots on either side of the scale platform. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Indicator Connection: Connect the cable from the scale platform to the digital indicator unit. Ensure the connection is firm.
- Power Connection: Plug the power adapter into the digital indicator unit and then into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator display should illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press the ON/OFF button on the digital indicator.
- To power off, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the display turns off.
5.2 Weighing Procedure
- Ensure the scale is powered on and displays "0.0" before use. If not, press the ZERO button.
- Carefully roll the wheelchair with the individual onto the center of the scale platform using the ramps.
- Wait for the weight reading to stabilize on the digital indicator.
- Record the displayed weight.
- Carefully roll the wheelchair off the scale.
5.3 Tare Function (Removing Wheelchair Weight)
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of the wheelchair, displaying only the individual's weight.
- Ensure the scale is powered on and displays "0.0".
- Roll the empty wheelchair onto the center of the scale platform.
- Wait for the weight reading to stabilize.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0" and the "NET" indicator may light up.
- Now, roll the individual in the wheelchair onto the scale. The display will show only the individual's weight.
- To clear the tare, roll the wheelchair off the scale and press the TARE button again, or power cycle the scale.
5.4 Unit Conversion
To switch between weight units (e.g., pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg)), press the UNIT button on the digital indicator. The active unit will be displayed.
