4. Setup and Assembly

The Action Base 4 is designed for straightforward assembly without the need for adhesives. Follow these steps to construct your display base.

1. Assemble Base Plates: Connect the hexagonal base plates together using the provided interlocking tabs. You can use one, two, or all three plates depending on your display needs.

2. Assemble Support Arm: Connect the various segments of the support arm. The arm consists of multiple articulated joints and extension pieces.

3. Attach Support Arm to Base: Insert the base of the assembled support arm into one of the designated holes on the hexagonal base plate. Ensure it is firmly seated.
4. Attach Model Kit: Select the appropriate adapter for your model kit and attach it to the top of the support arm. Then, securely attach your 1/100 scale model kit to the adapter.

5. Operating Instructions

The Action Base 4 allows for dynamic posing and display options for your model kits.

5.1 Adjusting Model Poses

The multi-jointed support arm can be adjusted to achieve various aerial or action poses. Carefully manipulate the arm at its articulation points to position your model as desired. Ensure the model remains balanced to prevent tipping.

5.2 Connecting Multiple Bases

For larger displays or dioramas, multiple Action Base 4 units can be connected side-by-side using the interlocking tabs on the hexagonal base plates. This creates a larger, stable platform for multiple model kits.

6. Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your Action Base 4, regularly wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the plastic finish.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Loose Joints or Connections

If the support arm joints become loose over time, carefully disassemble the affected joint and reassemble, ensuring all parts are properly aligned and snapped into place. For persistent looseness, a small amount of clear nail polish or a similar friction-enhancing coating can be applied to the peg and allowed to dry before reassembly. This can help create a tighter fit.

7.2 Model Instability

Ensure the model kit is correctly attached to the adapter and that the adapter is securely fastened to the support arm. Adjust the center of gravity of your model by repositioning its limbs or accessories to achieve better balance on the stand.
