3. Assembly Instructions

The Goplus 2-in-1 Rollator Walker is designed for quick and easy assembly, typically within 10 minutes. Follow these steps:

  1. Unfold the Frame: Carefully remove the rollator from its packaging. Pull the frame apart until it locks into the open position.
  2. Install Wheels: Attach the front and rear wheel assemblies. Ensure all four bolts are securely fastened. Two bolts are for the front wheels, and two are for the rear wheel assemblies. Refer to product images for correct placement.
  3. Attach Backrest: Secure the backrest to the designated slots on the frame.
  4. Attach Storage Bag: Hook the detachable storage bag under the seat.
  5. Adjust Handle Height: Press the adjustment buttons on the handle tubes and slide the handles up or down to your desired height. There are six adjustable height settings. Ensure both handles are at the same height and securely locked. The ideal height allows your elbows to be slightly bent when holding the handles.
  6. Attach Footrests: If using as a wheelchair, attach the footrests to the front of the frame. Ensure they click securely into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Using as a Rollator Walker

  • Ensure the backrest is in the upright position.
  • Adjust the handle height for comfortable use (refer to Assembly section).
  • Walk behind the rollator, pushing it forward as you move.
  • To slow down or stop, gently squeeze the brake levers.
  • To engage the parking brake, push down on the brake levers until they lock into place. This anchors the rollator when stationary, allowing you to sit safely.
  • To sit, ensure the parking brakes are engaged. Turn around and sit on the widened cushion. The backrest can be flipped to provide support.

4.2 Using as a Transport Wheelchair

  • Flip the backrest to the forward position.
  • Move the footrests to the front and ensure they are securely attached.
  • Engage the parking brakes to stabilize the unit.
  • Assist the user to sit on the widened cushion.
  • Release the parking brakes and push the wheelchair from the rear handles.

4.3 Additional Features

  • Detachable Storage Bag: Use the bag for personal items. It features an adjustable shoulder strap for carrying.
  • Umbrella Holder: A dedicated holder is provided for convenience.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the frame and seat with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Wheel Inspection: Regularly check the 8-inch PVC wheels for wear and tear. Ensure they rotate freely.
  • Brake Check: Periodically test the brake system to ensure it engages and disengages properly. Adjust if necessary.
  • Fastener Check: Inspect all bolts and screws for tightness. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain structural integrity.
  • Storage: When not in use, fold the rollator and store it in a dry, clean place to prolong its lifespan.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Brakes not holding: Ensure the brake levers are pushed down firmly to engage the parking lock. The brakes are designed to anchor the rollator when stopped, not to slow it down from high speeds. If the brakes still do not hold, inspect the brake cables for damage or looseness and adjust if possible, or contact customer support.
  • Footrests not staying up: The footrests are designed to fold to the side when not in use. Ensure the locking mechanism (if present) is engaged. Some users find using a bungee cord helpful to keep them vertically aligned if they tend to swing.
  • Difficulty going over bumps: When encountering bumps or uneven terrain, it is recommended to approach them slowly. If pushing a user in wheelchair mode, consider going over backwards and lifting the rear wheels over the bump first, then allowing the front wheels to roll over. Going forward directly into a bump can cause an abrupt stop.
  • Screws on wheels getting loose: Regularly check and tighten the screws on the wheel assemblies to ensure stability and safety.
