3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position.
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure the 24-hour sub-dial aligns correctly for AM/PM.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into its normal position.

3.2. Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click position.
  2. Rotate the crown (usually clockwise or counter-clockwise, depending on the movement) to set the correct date.
  3. After setting the date, push the crown back into its normal position.
  4. Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If the date needs adjustment during this period, first set the time outside this range, adjust the date, then reset the time.

4. Operating Instructions (Chronograph Function)

The chronograph function allows for precise timing of events.

  1. Start/Stop: Press the top pusher to start the chronograph. Press it again to stop. The chronograph second and minute sub-dials will record the elapsed time.
  2. Reset: While the chronograph is stopped, press the bottom pusher to reset all chronograph hands back to their zero positions.
  3. Split Time (if applicable): This model typically does not feature a split-time function.

The 24-hour sub-dial operates continuously with the main time display and cannot be reset independently.

5. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Water Resistance (3 ATM): This watch is resistant to splashes and brief immersion in water (e.g., washing hands, rain). It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving. Do not operate the crown or pushers when the watch is wet.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect the movement and seals.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones) to prevent interference with the quartz movement's accuracy.
  • Battery Replacement: When the watch stops or the second hand moves erratically, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function.
