1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Himimi Digital Electronic Security Safe Box. This safe is designed to provide secure storage for your valuables, including jewelry, money, cash, and important documents. It features a robust steel construction, a digital keypad for easy access, and an override key system for emergency entry. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your safe.

2. Package Contents

Please check the package to ensure all items are present:

• Mounting Hardware (bolts for securing the safe)

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the digital keypad. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings.

1. Open the safe door using the override key (refer to section 4.2).
2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
3. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover.

3.2 Initial Opening

For the first use, or if the digital code is unknown, use the override key to open the safe.

1. Locate the keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
2. Insert one of the provided override keys into the keyhole.
3. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the safe.
4. While holding the key turned, rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the door.

3.3 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be secured to a wall or floor using the pre-drilled holes and included mounting hardware for added security.

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
3. Drill pilot holes into the wall or floor.
4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided bolts.

4. Operating the Safe

4.1 Opening with Digital Code

To open the safe using the digital keypad:

1. Enter your personal 3-8 digit code (the default code is typically "1234").
2. Press the "#" button to confirm.
3. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.

4.2 Setting a New User Code

You can change the default code to a personal code for enhanced security.

1. With the safe door open, locate and press the red reset button hidden behind the door (see Figure 1).
2. The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
3. Enter your new 3-8 digit code.
4. Press the "#" button to confirm. The safe will beep again, indicating the new code is set.

4.3 Closing and Locking the Safe

To close and lock the safe:

1. Close the safe door.
2. Rotate the knob on the keypad counter-clockwise until the door is securely locked.

5.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery low indicator lights up, or if the keypad becomes unresponsive, replace the batteries immediately. Always use 4 new AA batteries.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the safe, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.

6. Troubleshooting

• Safe does not open with digital code:
  Ensure batteries are fresh and correctly installed. Verify that the correct code is being entered. If the code is forgotten, use the override key to open the safe and reset the code.
• Keypad is unresponsive:
  This usually indicates low or dead batteries. Replace all 4 AA batteries.
• Override key does not work:
  Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. Do not force the key. If the lock mechanism feels stiff, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to the keyhole.
• Safe door does not close properly:
  Check for any obstructions around the door frame or locking bolts. Ensure the safe is on a level surface.
