  • Electrical Safety: This machine operates on AC 220V / 50HZ. Ensure your power supply matches these specifications. Do not use with 110V power.
  • Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
  • Personal Safety: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, and heavy-duty gloves. Avoid loose clothing or jewelry.
  • Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
  • Dust Management: Wall chasing generates significant dust. Always use the provided water pump and vacuum cleaner adapter to manage dust and debris. Ensure proper ventilation.
  • Blade Safety: Ensure saw blades are correctly installed and secured before operation. Use only blades suitable for the material being cut.

Figure 5.1: The wall chaser being used to cut a groove, demonstrating proper handling.

  1. Power Connection: Plug the machine into a 220V / 50HZ power outlet. Ensure the water pump is also plugged in and submerged in water.
  2. Starting the Machine: Hold the machine firmly with both hands using the main and auxiliary handles. Press the power switch to start the motor. Allow the blades to reach full idling speed (7500 r/min) before beginning the cut.
  3. Making a Cut: Gently guide the machine along the marked line on the wall. Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the machine; let the blades do the work. The water pump will automatically supply water to the cutting area to reduce dust and cool the blades.
  4. Cutting Technique: For optimal results, make multiple shallow passes rather than one deep cut, especially in hard materials. This reduces strain on the motor and blades. The 360° slotted design allows for efficient cutting without dead ends.
  5. Stopping the Machine: Release the power switch to stop the motor. Wait for the blades to come to a complete stop before setting the machine down or performing any adjustments.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your wall chaser.

  • Cleaning: After each use, unplug the machine and clean off any dust or debris from the housing, ventilation slots, and blade area. Use a damp cloth; do not use solvents.
  • Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect saw blades for wear, damage, or dullness. Replace worn blades promptly to maintain cutting efficiency and safety.
  • Carbon Brush Replacement: The machine features accessible carbon brush replacement. Check carbon brushes periodically and replace them when they are worn down to their limit marks. Refer to the labeled diagram for the carbon brush access point.
  • Water Pump Care: Clean the water pump after each use to prevent clogging from debris. Ensure the water pipe is clear.
  • Storage: Store the machine and its accessories in the provided carrying box in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
