Setup and Assembly

The C1PORTLP grill requires some assembly. Please follow these steps carefully.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify all parts are present according to the packing list.
  2. Placement: Position the grill on a stable, level, non-combustible surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance from combustible materials (minimum 24 inches from sides and back).
  3. Propane Connection: The grill is designed for use with either a 20lb propane tank or a small propane canister. An adapter hose is included for connecting to a 20lb tank.
    • Connect the adapter hose to the grill's gas inlet.
    • Connect the other end of the adapter hose to your 20lb propane tank.
    • Alternatively, connect a small propane canister directly to the grill's gas inlet if not using the adapter hose.
    • Ensure all connections are tight before opening the propane supply.
  4. Leak Test: Before first use and after every tank change, perform a leak test. Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. Tighten connections or replace parts as necessary. Do not use the grill if a leak is detected.

  4. Shutting Down: When finished cooking, turn the control knob to the OFF position. Close the propane tank valve. Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning or moving.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your grill and ensure optimal performance. The non-stick Teflon coating on the cooking surface facilitates easier cleaning.

  • After Each Use: Once the grill has cooled, brush off any food residue from the cooking grates. The non-stick surface makes this process straightforward.
  • Deep Cleaning: Periodically, clean the cooking grates with warm, soapy water. The stainless steel exterior can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool, which can scratch the surface.
  • Grease Tray: Empty and clean the grease tray regularly to prevent flare-ups and maintain hygiene.
  • Storage: Store the grill in a dry, protected area when not in use. If storing outdoors, use a grill cover to protect it from the elements.
