The KNZ Retro2 speaker combines a classic aesthetic with modern audio technology, offering versatile playback options including Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, microSD card, USB drive, and AUX input. It features a 10-watt output with a built-in subwoofer and supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing for an enhanced audio experience.
2. Safety Information
- Do not expose the speaker to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.

Controls and Ports:
- Display Screen: Shows current mode, track information, and FM frequency.
- Power Button: Press and hold to turn on/off.
- Mode Button (M): Switches between Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, MicroSD, and AUX modes.
- Play/Pause Button (►/−): Plays or pauses audio. In FM mode, press and hold to auto-scan.
- Previous/Next Track Buttons (◀◀/►►): Skips to previous/next track. In FM mode, short press to change frequency, long press to seek.
- Volume Knob: Rotates to adjust volume.
- USB Port: For USB drive playback.
- MicroSD Card Slot: For microSD card playback.

5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Speaker
- Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
- Connect the large end of the USB charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.
5.2 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power button until the display illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the display turns off.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button until 'BLUE' appears on the display. The speaker will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'KNZ Retro2' from the list.
- Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation tone, and the Bluetooth icon on the display will stop flashing.
- You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.
6.2 FM Radio Operation

- Press the 'M' (Mode) button until 'FM' appears on the display.
- Auto-Scan and Save Stations: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (►/−) for 2-3 seconds. The speaker will automatically scan for available FM stations and save them as presets.
- Manual Tuning: Use the Previous/Next Track buttons (◀◀/►►) to manually adjust the frequency.
- Selecting Presets: Short press the Play/Pause button (►/−) to cycle through saved preset stations.
- Note: The speaker uses an internal antenna. For optimal FM reception, try repositioning the speaker.
6.3 MicroSD and USB Playback
- Insert a MicroSD card or USB drive into the corresponding slot/port.
- The speaker will automatically switch to MicroSD or USB mode and begin playing audio files. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to select the correct mode.
- Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next Track buttons to control playback.
6.4 AUX Input
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the speaker's AUX input port.
- Connect the other end of the AUX cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the 'M' (Mode) button until 'AUX' appears on the display.
- Control playback and volume from your external device.
6.5 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing
TWS allows you to connect two KNZ Retro2 speakers for a stereo sound experience.

- Ensure both KNZ Retro2 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not yet connected to any device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button for 3-5 seconds. You will hear a pairing tone.
- The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone.
- Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 6.1.
- Audio will now play in stereo across both speakers.
6.6 Remote Control Usage

The included remote control provides convenient access to various functions:
- Power: Turn the speaker on/off.
- Mode: Switch between input sources (Bluetooth, FM, USB, MicroSD, AUX).
- Volume +/-: Adjust the volume level.
- Play/Pause: Control audio playback.
- Previous/Next: Skip tracks or change FM frequency.
- EQ: Access equalizer presets (if available).
- Number Pad: Directly input FM frequencies or track numbers.
7. Maintenance
- Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the ports free of dust and debris.
- When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place.
8. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- No Power: Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
- No Sound: Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the correct input mode is selected.
- Bluetooth Not Connecting: Make sure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your device, then try pairing again. Ensure no other devices are connected to the speaker.
- Poor FM Reception: Reposition the speaker to improve signal strength. Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Remote Control Not Working: Check the battery in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the speaker's IR receiver.
