5. Installation Instructions

5.2 Step-by-Step Installation

1. Remove the Front Grille:
   • First, uninstall the grille. Carefully remove the 6 fasteners by prying them up at the base using a flat blade screwdriver. Save these fasteners.
   • Carefully remove the front grille by pulling the top portion forward until it unsnaps.
   • Carefully unsnap the clips at the bottom of the grille and let it rest across the bumper. Note: These clips may break if not treated with caution.
2. Uninstall the Old Headlight:
   • Use a T15 Torx driver to remove the 4 screws holding the old headlight retaining ring. Save the 4 screws.
   • Remove the retaining ring from the mounting ring.
   • Remove the old headlight from the mounting ring and disconnect its wiring harness.
3. Install the New LED Headlight:
   • Plug in the new LED headlight. If anti-flicker resistors are needed for your vehicle model, install them now.
   • Align the alignment lugs on the lamp with the slots in the mounting ring. The lamp will only fit in one orientation.
   • Re-attach the retaining ring. Align all 4 tabs on the ring with the screw holes. It will only fit in one orientation.
   • Install the 4 screws using the T15 Torx driver to secure the retaining ring and headlight.
   • Repeat these steps for the second headlight.
4. Test Lamp Functions:
   • Before re-installing the grille, test the high beam and low beam functions to ensure they are working correctly.
5. Re-install the Grille:
   • Re-attach the front grille by carefully pressing on the grille until the clips lock back into place.
   • Re-install the 6 fasteners. The screw in each fastener must be fully extended as the fasteners are pressed into place.
   • Tighten the 6 Phillips head screws into the fasteners (some models may have Phillips head screws). Note: Do not over-tighten the screws.

Your Aukmak LED Headlights operate similarly to your vehicle's original headlights. Use your vehicle's standard headlight switch to control the functions:

• Low Beam: Provides standard illumination for general driving conditions.
• High Beam: Provides maximum illumination for driving in dark areas. Use with caution and dim for oncoming traffic.
• Daytime Running Lights (DRL): If your vehicle supports DRLs, the halo ring or specific LED segments will illuminate during the day for increased visibility.
