Setup and Installation
The PoE Texas 60 Watt PoE Injector is designed for flexible installation. It can be mounted on various surfaces using appropriate fasteners or adhesive strips.
Required Supplies for Mounting
- For Mounting on Plywood or Sheet Metal: #6 x 1/2" self-drilling screws
- For Mounting on Drywall: #6 self-drilling drywall anchors
- Appropriate driver for your chosen screws (e.g., screwdriver or drill)
- Optional: 3M Command Strips and cable ties for alternative or additional securing.
Mounting Instructions
Follow these steps to mount your PoE Injector:
- Identify a suitable mounting location near your network equipment and power outlet.
- Position the PoE Injector against the desired surface. Use the mounting tabs on the device to mark the screw locations.
- For plywood or sheet metal, drill pilot holes if necessary, then secure the injector using #6 x 1/2" self-drilling screws.
- For drywall, install #6 self-drilling drywall anchors at the marked locations. Then, secure the injector using screws into the anchors.
- Alternatively, or for temporary mounting, apply 3M Command Strips to the back of the injector and firmly press it against the surface. Use cable ties to manage cables and provide additional support if desired.

Operation
Once the PoE Injector is securely mounted and connected to power, follow these steps for operation:
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch or router to the LAN port on the PoE Injector.
- Connect another Ethernet cable from the PoE port on the injector to your PoE-compatible device (e.g., IP camera, access point).
- Ensure the AC power cable is securely connected to the injector and a power outlet. The injector will automatically detect the connected PoE device and negotiate the appropriate power level.
- Verify that your PoE device powers on and functions correctly. The injector's indicator lights will typically show power and active data/PoE status.
