  • Wait for the indicator light to turn off before beginning to iron.

5.4 Spray Function

The spray function helps to moisten stubborn creases.

  • Ensure the water tank is filled.
  • Press the spray button to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your iron.

6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

To keep the soleplate smooth and clean:

  • After use, and once the iron has cooled down, wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
  • Do not use scouring pads, vinegar, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the soleplate.

6.2 Calc-Clean Function (Descaling)

To remove scale particles from the steam chamber, perform the Calc-Clean function regularly, especially in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level.
  2. Set the steam control to the 'no steam' position.
  3. Set the temperature dial to 'MAX'.
  4. Plug in the iron and wait for the indicator light to go out.
  5. Unplug the iron.
  6. Hold the iron over a sink, press and hold the Calc-Clean button (if available, or follow specific instructions for your model's self-clean feature). Shake the iron gently back and forth. Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate, carrying scale particles.
  7. Continue until the water tank is empty.
  8. Plug in the iron again and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
  9. Unplug and let the iron cool down before storing.

6.3 Storage

After each use:

  • Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Store the iron upright on its heel rest to prevent soleplate damage.
