2. Initial Setup
2.1 Powering the Clock
The DreamSky Digital Alarm Clock operates primarily via AC power. It also includes a battery backup system to retain settings during power interruptions.
- Connect to Power: Plug the included power adapter into a standard electrical outlet and connect the other end to the DC input port on the back of the clock. The clock will automatically power on and attempt to set the correct time, date, and temperature.
- Install Backup Batteries: For battery backup functionality, open the battery compartment on the back of the clock and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included). A CR2032 button cell battery is pre-installed to hold basic settings. These batteries ensure that time and alarm settings are preserved in case of a power outage, and the alarm will still trigger at the set time.

4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.

- Placement: Place the clock on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clock display is blank or flickering. | No power, loose power connection, or depleted backup batteries. | Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the clock and the outlet. Check the power outlet. Replace AAA backup batteries if installed. |
| Alarm does not sound. | Alarm is not activated, alarm volume is too low, or incorrect alarm time set. | Verify the ON ALARM OFF switch is in the "ON" position. Re-check the alarm time setting. |
| Time is incorrect after power outage. | Backup batteries are not installed or are depleted. | Install fresh AAA backup batteries. The pre-installed CR2032 battery should maintain basic settings, but AAA batteries are needed for full backup functionality. |
| USB charging ports are not working. | Clock is not connected to AC power. | Ensure the clock is powered by the AC adapter. USB charging ports do not function on battery backup alone. |
| Display is too bright or too dim. | Brightness setting needs adjustment or auto-dim mode is active. | Press + or - buttons to adjust manual brightness. Toggle to or from "auto" mode as desired. |
