Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device.
  2. Insert the two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Placement

Place the laser level on a stable, flat surface or mount it on a tripod. Ensure the surface is relatively level for optimal self-leveling performance.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Slide the power switch to the ON position to power on the device. Slide it to the OFF position to power off.

Self-Leveling Mode

When the power switch is in the ON position, the device defaults to self-leveling mode. The laser will automatically level itself within a range of 4° ± 1°. If the device is outside this range, the laser lines will flash to indicate an out-of-level condition. Adjust the device's position until the lines stop flashing and become steady.

Manual Mode

To activate manual mode, slide the power switch to the ON position, then press and hold the power button on top of the unit for 3 seconds. In manual mode, the self-leveling function is deactivated, allowing you to project laser lines at any desired angle. The laser lines will not flash in this mode, regardless of the device's tilt.

Switching Laser Lines

Press the button on top of the unit to cycle through laser line modes: horizontal line only, vertical line only, or both horizontal and vertical lines (cross line).

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the laser output window clean for clear projection.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in its canvas carry case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Laser Lines Flashing

If the laser lines are flashing in self-leveling mode, the device is out of its self-leveling range. Adjust the position of the laser level until it is within 4° ± 1° of true level. The lines will become steady once leveled.

No Laser Output

Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Ensure the power switch is in the ON position. If the issue persists, replace the batteries.

Poor Visibility of Laser Lines

Laser line visibility can be affected by ambient light. For best results, use the laser level in dimly lit environments. The red laser is designed for indoor use or shaded outdoor areas.
