1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Remington Pro 1" Multi-Styler. This versatile tool is designed to create both straight styles and various types of curls and waves using its unique twisted plates and advanced heat technology.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, burns, fire, or injury to persons:

3. Setup

1. Ensure your hair is clean, dry, and free of tangles.
2. Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Turn on the multi-styler by pressing and holding the power button.
4. Adjust the temperature setting using the digital controls to suit your hair type.

Temperature Guidelines:

• 300°F - 340°F (150°C - 170°C): For thin, fine, damaged, or bleached hair.
• 340°F - 410°F (170°C - 210°C): For normal, healthy hair.
• 410°F - 450°F (210°C - 230°C): For thick and difficult-to-style hair.

Temperature Lock Feature: To prevent accidental temperature changes, twist the dial all the way to the left and hold for 2 seconds. A lock symbol will appear on the display. To unlock, repeat the action (twist dial to the left and hold for 2 seconds).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Straightening Hair

1. Ensure the multi-styler is heated to your desired temperature.
2. Take a small section of hair (approximately 1 inch wide).
3. Place the hair section between the plates near the roots.
4. Gently close the plates and glide the multi-styler down the hair section from root to tip without twisting.
5. Repeat for all sections of hair until desired straightness is achieved.

4.2. Curling Hair / Creating Waves

The unique twisted plates of the multi-styler are designed to facilitate curling and wave creation.

1. Ensure the multi-styler is heated to your desired temperature.
2. Take a small section of hair (approximately 1 inch wide).
3. Place the hair section between the plates near the roots.
4. For Beach Waves: Twist the multi-styler 180 degrees and glide it down the hair section.
5. For Bouncy Curls: Twist the multi-styler and glide it down the hair section slowly. Apply light grip on the cool tip for better control.
6. Adjust the speed of gliding to achieve the desired tightness of the curl or wave.
7. Repeat for all sections of hair.

5. Maintenance

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the plates and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the appliance is completely dry before storing.
• For compact storage, push the small tab near the cord to lock the plates together.

6. Troubleshooting

• Appliance not heating: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet and the power button is pressed. Check the temperature display.
• Hair not curling/straightening effectively: Ensure the correct temperature setting is selected for your hair type. Use small sections of hair. For curling, ensure you are twisting the tool correctly and gliding slowly.
• Hair snagging: Ensure hair is completely detangled before use. The smooth glide design should minimize snagging.
• Accidental temperature changes: Utilize the temperature lock feature as described in the Setup section.
