Safety Instructions

Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the main water supply. Clear the area where the shower system will be installed.
  2. Mount the Thermostat Fitting:
    • Ensure the existing water connections are clean and ready.
    • Attach the thermostat fitting to the hot and cold water outlets. Use appropriate sealing materials (e.g., PTFE tape) to ensure a watertight seal.
    • Tighten connections securely with an adjustable wrench, but do not overtighten.
  3. Install the Wall Bar:
    • Position the wall bar vertically above the thermostat fitting. The design allows for reuse of existing drill holes, if applicable.
    • Mark the drilling points for the wall brackets using a pencil. Use a spirit level to ensure vertical alignment.
    • Drill holes at the marked points. Insert wall plugs.
    • Secure the wall brackets and then the wall bar to the wall using the provided screws.
    • Attach the adjustable shower holder to the wall bar.
  4. Connect the Shower Hose and Hand Shower:
    • Connect one end of the shower hose to the outlet on the thermostat fitting.
    • Connect the other end of the shower hose to the hand shower.
    • Place the hand shower into the adjustable holder on the wall bar.
  5. Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks are present, turn off the water, tighten the connections, and re-test.

Operating Instructions

Water Temperature Control

The thermostat fitting allows for precise temperature control. Use the temperature selection handle to set your desired water temperature. The integrated hot water lock at 38°C prevents accidental scalding. To exceed 38°C, you must consciously override this safety feature by pressing a button or turning past a stop on the handle.

Water Flow and Jet Type Selection

The hand shower offers three distinct jet types:

  • Normal Jet: Provides an even and consistent water flow for daily rinsing.
  • Soft Jet: Air-enriched for a noticeably softer and gentler water experience.
  • Massage Jet: A pressurized jet with a massage function, designed to promote physical regeneration and relaxation.

To change the jet type, rotate the selector on the hand shower. The water flow can be adjusted using the flow control handle on the thermostat fitting.

Adjusting Hand Shower Height

The hand shower holder on the wall bar is infinitely adjustable. Simply slide the holder up or down the bar to set the desired height for comfortable use. The slider control makes it easy to adjust and secure the hand shower in place.

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Cornat Shower System.

Cleaning the Surfaces

  • Clean chrome-plated surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for bathroom fixtures.

  • Do not use: Abrasive sponges, scouring pads, harsh chemicals, acid-based cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the chrome finish.

Descaling the Hand Shower Nozzles

The hand shower is equipped with flexible silicone nozzles for easy descaling. To remove limescale buildup:

  • Simply rub the silicone nozzles with your fingers to dislodge any limescale deposits.
  • For stubborn deposits, you may use a soft brush or a mild descaling solution, ensuring it is safe for chrome and silicone.
  • Regular descaling ensures an unobstructed and full water beam.
