Setup and Installation

This WinZo sink is designed for semi-recessed, drop-in installation. Proper installation ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Required Tools (Not Included):

  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil or marker
  • Jigsaw or appropriate cutting tool for countertop material
  • Silicone sealant (bathroom grade)
  • Adjustable wrench or pliers
  • Screwdriver

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Countertop: Measure and mark the cut-out area on your countertop. The recommended cut-out size is approximately 19.5 inches in length and 16.5 inches in width. It is highly recommended to make the cut-out based on the actual sink product for accuracy.
  2. Cut Countertop Opening: Carefully cut the marked opening in the countertop using an appropriate tool. Ensure edges are smooth.
  3. Position Sink: Place the sink into the cut-out opening. The rim of the sink should rest on the countertop surface. Verify that the sink is level and properly aligned.
  4. Apply Sealant: Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the sink where it meets the countertop to create a watertight seal.
  5. Install Pop-up Drain:
    • Disassemble the pop-up drain components.
    • Insert the top part of the drain through the sink's drain hole.
    • From underneath the sink, attach the rubber gasket and tightening nut to secure the drain assembly. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench to gently secure, ensuring not to overtighten.
    • Connect the P-trap and water supply lines (faucet not included) according to local plumbing codes.
  6. Test for Leaks: Once all connections are made, run water into the sink and check for any leaks around the drain and water supply connections. Tighten any leaking connections as necessary.

Operating Instructions

The WinZo WZ6123D sink operates like any standard bathroom sink. The included pop-up drain allows for easy opening and closing of the drain for filling or emptying the basin.

  • To Fill the Sink: Press the ceramic top of the pop-up drain down to close the drain. Turn on the faucet to fill the basin with water.
  • To Drain the Sink: Press the ceramic top of the pop-up drain again to open the drain, allowing water to flow out.
  • Overflow Function: The built-in overflow helps prevent accidental overfilling of the sink. Ensure the overflow channel is clear of debris for proper function.

Maintenance and Care

Proper care will maintain the appearance and extend the life of your WinZo sink.

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the sink regularly with warm water and a soft sponge or cloth.
  • Avoid Abrasives: DO NOT USE abrasive cleaners such as acid, ammonia, bleach, or similar solutions. These can cause corrosion, finish peeling, and dull the ceramic surface.
  • Drain Maintenance: Periodically check the pop-up drain for hair or debris accumulation. Clean as needed to ensure proper drainage and prevent clogs.
  • Sealant Inspection: Inspect the silicone sealant around the sink's perimeter periodically for any signs of wear or detachment. Reapply sealant if necessary to prevent water damage.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your sink.

  • Issue: Water leaking around the drain.

Solution: Ensure the pop-up drain assembly is correctly installed and the gaskets are properly seated. Gently tighten the securing nut underneath the sink. If the leak persists, disassemble, reapply plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the drain flange, and reassemble.

  • Issue: Slow drainage or standing water.

Solution: Check the pop-up drain for any obstructions like hair or soap residue. Remove and clean the drain mechanism. Ensure the P-trap is not clogged. The sink's micro-curved bowl is designed for optimal drainage, so persistent slow drainage often indicates a clog in the plumbing.

  • Issue: Water leaking between the sink and countertop.

Solution: The silicone sealant around the sink's edge may be compromised. Clean the area thoroughly, remove old sealant, and apply a fresh bead of bathroom-grade silicone sealant.
