1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

  • This appliance is for indoor household use only. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

4. Product Overview

Main Components:

  • Main Unit: The robot vacuum cleaner itself.
  • Dustbin: Located inside the robot, collects dust and debris.

  • Side Brushes: Two rotating brushes on the front-bottom, designed to sweep debris into the vacuum's path.

5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Robot: Remove the robot and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers.
  2. Install Side Brushes: Attach the two side brushes to the corresponding posts on the bottom of the robot. Press firmly until they click into place.
  3. Place the Charging Dock: Position the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space in front of the dock and 0.5 meters (1.5 feet) on either side. Plug the power adapter into the charging dock and then into a wall outlet.
  4. Initial Charging: Place the robot onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot will begin charging. The battery indicator light will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours. For optimal battery life, fully charge the robot before its first use.

6. Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off:

  • To power on, press and hold the power button on the robot's control panel until the indicator light illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.

Starting a Cleaning Cycle:

Once powered on and fully charged, press the power button briefly to start a cleaning cycle. The robot will automatically select a cleaning program based on its environment.

Cleaning Programs:

The Jimbab TRC50 features four intelligent navigation programs:

  • Along the Wall: The robot cleans along the edges of rooms.
  • Random: The robot moves in a random pattern, covering the area.
  • Spiral: The robot cleans in an expanding spiral pattern, ideal for concentrated dirty areas.
  • Zig-Zag: The robot cleans in a back-and-forth pattern, suitable for open areas.

Pausing/Resuming Cleaning:

During a cleaning cycle, press the power button briefly to pause the robot. Press it again to resume cleaning.

Returning to Charging Dock:

When the battery is low, the robot will automatically return to its charging dock. You can also manually send it back by pressing the home button (if available on your model) or by placing it on the dock.

Indicator Lights:

  • Battery Indicator: Illuminates when the battery is full or charging.
  • Dustbin Full Indicator: A warning light will illuminate when the dustbin needs to be emptied.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum cleaner.

Emptying the Dustbin:

  1. Press the dustbin release button and pull out the dustbin.
  2. Open the dustbin lid and empty its contents into a trash can.
  3. Tap the dustbin gently to dislodge any remaining debris.
  4. Reinsert the dustbin into the robot until it clicks into place.

Cleaning the HEPA Filter:

The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly (after every 1-3 uses, depending on usage) and replaced every 3-6 months.

  1. Remove the dustbin.
  2. Take out the HEPA filter from the dustbin.
  3. Tap the filter against a trash can to remove dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water.
  4. Brush off any remaining debris with the provided cleaning tool.
  5. Reinsert the clean filter and dustbin.

Cleaning Side Brushes:

Check side brushes regularly for tangled hair or debris. Remove them by pulling gently, clean, and reattach.

Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts:

Wipe the anti-drop sensors (on the bottom) and charging contacts (on the robot and dock) with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper function and charging.

8. Troubleshooting
