1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid. This accessory transforms your compatible 6-quart Instant Pot electric pressure cooker into a versatile 6-in-1 appliance, offering functions such as Air Fry, Bake, Broil, Roast, Reheat, and Dehydrate. It is designed to provide crispy results with minimal oil.

Please read all instructions thoroughly before initial use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or property damage.

Always ensure the Air Fryer Lid is securely placed on a compatible 6-quart Instant Pot stainless steel inner pot. Do not use with non-stick ceramic inserts.
This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
Do not immerse the Air Fryer Lid, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
Keep hands and face away from the heating element and hot air vents during operation.
Do not block air vents. Ensure adequate space around the appliance for proper ventilation.
Always unplug the Air Fryer Lid when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool completely before handling.
Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
Supervise children closely when the appliance is in use.
The Air Fryer Lid does not have pressure cooking functionality. It is designed for air frying, baking, broiling, roasting, reheating, and dehydrating only.
Use only Instant Pot branded 6-quart electric multi-use pressure cookers as the base unit. Refer to the compatibility list in this manual.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Unpacking

Remove all packaging materials from the Air Fryer Lid and accessories.
Wash the multi-level air fryer basket and broil/dehydrate tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Wipe the exterior of the Air Fryer Lid with a damp cloth.

4.2 Placing the Air Fryer Lid

Ensure your compatible 6-quart Instant Pot electric pressure cooker is unplugged and the inner pot is clean and dry.
Place the food to be cooked into the multi-level air fryer basket or on the broil/dehydrate tray, then place it inside the stainless steel inner pot of your Instant Pot.
Carefully place the Air Fryer Lid onto the Instant Pot base, ensuring it sits flush on the inner pot rim. The lid does not twist and lock like a pressure cooking lid; it simply rests on top.

4.3 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features a digital display and buttons for various functions and settings.

5. Operating Instructions

The Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid offers 6 pre-set smart programs. Follow these general steps for operation:

Prepare your food and place it in the appropriate accessory (basket or tray) inside the Instant Pot inner pot.
Place the Air Fryer Lid onto the Instant Pot base.
Plug the Air Fryer Lid into a power outlet. The display will show "OFF".
Select your desired cooking function (e.g., Air Fry, Bake). The default time and temperature for that function will appear.
Use the Temp +/- and Time +/- buttons to adjust settings as needed.
Press the Start button to begin cooking. The display will show "On" and then the countdown timer.
During cooking, you may hear a beep indicating it's time to flip or shake food (depending on the program).
Once cooking is complete, the lid will beep and display "End". Carefully remove the lid using the handles, placing it on the protective pad.

5.1 Cooking Functions

Air Fry: Ideal for achieving crispy textures on foods like fries, chicken wings, and onion rings. Uses rapid air circulation.
Bake: Suitable for items such as cakes, muffins, and casseroles.

Roast: For cooking meats and vegetables with a browned exterior and tender interior.
Reheat: Warms up leftovers while maintaining texture.
Dehydrate: Removes moisture from food at low temperatures, suitable for making fruit leathers or jerky.

Note: This Air Fryer Lid is only compatible with 6-quart Instant Pot models and requires the stainless steel inner pot. It is not compatible with 3-quart or 8-quart models, or with non-stick ceramic inner pots.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Air Fryer Lid.

7.1 Cleaning the Air Fryer Lid

Always unplug the Air Fryer Lid and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
Wipe the exterior of the lid with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the lid in water or any other liquid.
The heating element area (underside of the lid) can be gently wiped with a damp cloth to remove any food residue. Ensure it is completely dry before storage or next use.

7.2 Cleaning Accessories

The multi-level air fryer basket and broil/dehydrate tray are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
The protective pad can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

7.3 Storage

Store the Air Fryer Lid on its protective pad in a dry place when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Lid does not power on.	Not plugged in; power outlet issue.	Ensure the lid is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Test the outlet with another appliance.
Food is not crisping.	Overcrowding the basket; incorrect temperature/time; too much moisture.	Cook in smaller batches. Increase temperature or cooking time. Pat food dry before air frying. Ensure the lid is properly seated.
Smoke coming from the lid.	Food residue on heating element; fatty food.	Unplug immediately. Allow to cool, then clean the heating element. Reduce fat content or use less oil. Ensure proper ventilation.
Lid displays an error code.	Internal malfunction.	Unplug the lid, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in. If the error persists, contact customer support.
