2. Safety Information
Operating a gas pressure washer requires adherence to strict safety guidelines to prevent serious injury or property damage. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy footwear. Never point the spray gun at people, animals, or electrical outlets. Ensure adequate ventilation when operating the engine to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Keep children and pets away from the operating area. Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.
Fuel Safety: Gasoline is highly flammable. Store fuel in approved containers, away from ignition sources. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke while refueling.
High Pressure Warning: The high-pressure spray can cause severe injury. Never operate the unit without the spray gun and nozzle securely attached. Always engage the trigger lock when not spraying.

5. Setup Before Operation
Before starting the pressure washer, perform the following setup steps:
- Add Engine Oil: The engine is shipped without oil. Fill the crankcase with 10W-30 4-stroke engine oil. For general use (above 40°F), 30W, 4-stroke engine oil is recommended. Do not overfill.
- Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use E85 or E15 fuel. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.
- Connect Water Supply: Connect a garden hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer pump. Ensure the garden hose is free of kinks and has a steady water supply. Turn on the water supply completely.
- Purge Air from System: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to allow water to flow through the pump and hose, expelling any trapped air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Starting the Engine
- Ensure the unit is on a level surface.
- Turn the fuel valve to the 'ON' position.
- Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (cold start).
- Set the engine switch to 'ON'.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
6.2. Using Nozzles and Detergent
The WEN PW2800 includes four quick-connect nozzles for various cleaning tasks:
- 0-degree (Red): Pin-point stream for intense cleaning of small, tough spots. Use with extreme caution.
- 25-degree (Green): Fan spray for general cleaning of most surfaces.
- 40-degree (White): Wide fan spray for gentle cleaning of delicate surfaces.

To change nozzles, pull back the collar on the spray gun wand, insert the desired nozzle, and release the collar to lock it in place. Always ensure the engine is off and the trigger is locked when changing nozzles.
6.3. Applying Detergent
- Fill the onboard detergent tank with up to 32 fluid ounces of pressure washer safe detergent.
- Attach the black (soap) nozzle to the spray gun.
- Start the engine and squeeze the trigger. The pressure washer will automatically draw detergent from the tank and mix it with the water at low pressure.
- Apply detergent to the cleaning surface. Allow it to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions).
- Switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25-degree or 40-degree) to rinse the surface thoroughly.

- Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
- Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.
7.1. Engine Maintenance
- Oil Change: Change engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually.
- Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter every 25 hours or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged.
