1. Safety Information

• Keep body parts, clothing, and other objects clear of moving parts during operation to prevent pinching or crushing.
• Do not allow children or pets near the desk during operation.
• Ensure all electrical connections are secure and the power cord is not damaged.
• Only use the desk on a level surface.
• Do not sit or stand on the desk.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before beginning assembly. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact VIVO customer support.

The VIVO Electric Standing Desk ships in two separate boxes, one for the table top and one for the desk frame. These may arrive on different days.

3. Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically requires one person, but two people are recommended due to the weight of the components. A cordless drill with a low speed/high torque setting and a #2 Phillips bit can assist with assembly. Ensure you have adequate space to work.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Assemble Desk Frame: Follow the detailed instructions provided in the included installation manual (PDF) to assemble the electric desk frame. Pay close attention to the orientation of the legs and crossbars. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
3. Attach Desktop: Place the Dark Walnut table top upside down on a soft, protected surface. Carefully align the assembled desk frame with the pre-drilled pilot holes on the underside of the desktop. Secure the frame to the desktop using the provided screws.
4. Install Control Panel: Mount the control panel to the underside of the desktop in the desired location, typically on the front edge. Connect the control panel cable to the motor control box.
5. Connect Power: Connect the power cable to the motor control box and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
6. Cable Management: Route all cables neatly using the included cable ties or management accessories to prevent snagging during height adjustments.
7. Level the Desk: Once assembled and upright, adjust the leveling feet on the bottom of the desk legs to ensure stability and prevent wobbling.

The desk frame features 2-tier leg support and a powerful motor for smooth height adjustments.

4. Operating Instructions

The VIVO Electric Standing Desk offers easy height adjustment and memory presets for convenience.

4.1. Basic Height Adjustment

• Press the UP arrow (^) button to raise the desk.
• Press the DOWN arrow (v) button to lower the desk.
• Release the button at your desired height. The desk can adjust between 29.3 inches and 48.5 inches.

4.2. Memory Presets

The control panel features four memory presets to save and recall your preferred sitting and standing heights.

1. Set a Memory Position:
   1. Adjust the desk to your desired height using the UP or DOWN arrow buttons.
   2. Press the 'M' button (or 'SET' button, if present) once. The display will flash 'S-'.
   3. Within 3 seconds, press one of the number buttons (1, 2, 3, or 4) to save the current height to that preset. The display will show the number you pressed, confirming it's saved.
2. Recall a Memory Position:
   • Simply press the corresponding number button (1, 2, 3, or 4) for your desired height. The desk will automatically move to the saved position.

The control panel allows for precise height adjustments and saving up to four preferred positions.

• Cable Management: Ensure cables remain tidy and are not pinched or tangled, especially during height adjustments.
• Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 176 lbs (80 kg) to prevent damage to the motor and frame.

If you encounter issues with your VIVO Electric Standing Desk, refer to the following common solutions.

• Desk Not Moving:
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the desk and the wall outlet.
  • Ensure all cables connecting the control panel, motor, and control box are properly seated.
  • Try unplugging the desk for 10-15 seconds and then plugging it back in to reset the system.
• Uneven Height / Wobbling:
  • Verify that the desk is on a level floor.
  • Adjust the leveling feet on the bottom of the desk legs to stabilize the desk.
  • Check all assembly screws and bolts for tightness, especially those connecting the frame to the desktop.
• Error Codes:
  • If an error code appears on the display, consult the full user manual (PDF) for specific instructions. Often, a simple power cycle (unplugging and replugging) can resolve temporary errors.
• Motor Noise:
  • A slight motor hum during adjustment is normal. Excessive or unusual noise may indicate an issue. Ensure no obstructions are interfering with the motor or lifting mechanism.
