2. Important Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, adhere to the following safety guidelines:

  • Read all instructions before installing or using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Discard heater or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • This heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • This product is ETL certified and features an automatic shut-off function for high temperatures.

5. Installation

This electric fireplace is designed for recessed installation. Ensure the fireplace mantel or wall opening meets the required dimensions before proceeding.

5.1. Pre-Installation Checks

  • Measure the Opening: The recommended opening dimensions for this 32" insert are approximately 28.5" - 30" W x 21" - 21.8" H x 6.3" - 6.7" D. Refer to the dimension diagram for precise measurements.
  • Power Supply: Ensure a dedicated 120V, 15 Amp grounded outlet is available within reach of the power cord. Do not use extension cords.
  • Clearances: Maintain proper clearances from combustible materials as specified in the safety section.

5.2. Recessed Installation Steps

  1. Carefully unpack the fireplace insert and remove all packaging materials. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Ensure the wall or mantel opening is clean and free of debris.
  3. With assistance, carefully lift the fireplace insert and slide it into the prepared opening. Ensure it fits snugly and is level.
  4. Secure the fireplace insert using the provided mounting brackets or screws, typically located on the sides or front trim, into the framing of the opening.
  5. Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V outlet.
  6. Verify that the main power switch (often located on the back or side of the unit) is in the 'ON' position.

6. Operating Instructions

Your electric fireplace can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

6.1. Control Panel and Remote Functions

  • Power ON/OFF: Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
  • Heater Settings: Press the HEATER button to cycle between 750W (low heat) and 1500W (high heat) settings. The display will show the current heat setting.
  • Temperature Control: Use the TEMP + and TEMP - buttons to adjust the desired room temperature between 62°F (16°C) and 82°F (28°C). The unit will automatically maintain the set temperature.
  • Flame Brightness: Press the FLAME BRIGHTNESS button to cycle through 6 levels of flame intensity (L1-L6).
  • Timer Function: Press the TIMER button to set an automatic shut-off time from 1 to 8 hours. Each press increases the timer by one hour.

6.4. Low Noise Operation

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your electric fireplace.

7.1. Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Gently wipe the glass panel with a soft cloth. For stubborn marks, use a glass cleaner specifically designed for fireplaces, applied to the cloth first, not directly to the glass.
  • Periodically vacuum or wipe the air intake and outlet vents to prevent dust buildup, which can affect heating efficiency.

7.2. Storage

If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it, clean it thoroughly, and store it in a dry, dust-free location, preferably in its original packaging.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your electric fireplace, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
