4. Setup

4.1. Unpacking and Preparation

  1. Unpack the paddle board and all accessories from the backpack carry bag.
  2. Lay the board flat on a clean, smooth surface, free from sharp objects.

4.2. Inflation

  1. Locate the high-pressure valve on the tail of the board. Ensure the valve pin is in the UP position (closed for inflation). If it's down, press it once to pop it up.
  2. Connect the hose from the high-pressure hand pump to the valve by inserting and twisting clockwise until secure.
  3. Begin pumping. The pressure gauge will start to register once the board begins to firm up.
  4. Inflate the board to the recommended pressure of 12-15 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch). The pump's gauge reads over 20 PSI, allowing for precise inflation. Do not overinflate.
  5. Once inflated, quickly disconnect the pump hose and replace the valve cap to prevent air leakage and protect the valve.

4.3. Fin Installation

  1. Slide the central fin into the fin box located on the underside of the board.
  2. Secure the fin with the attached clip or pin, ensuring it is firmly in place.

4.4. Paddle Assembly

  1. Assemble the three pieces of the aluminum paddle. Ensure the sections click securely into place.
  2. Adjust the paddle length to your height. A good starting point is to make the paddle approximately 6-8 inches taller than you are. Secure the adjustment clamp.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Entering the Water

Carefully carry the inflated board to the water's edge. Ensure the fin does not drag on the ground. Step onto the board in shallow water, starting on your knees for stability before attempting to stand.

5.2. Paddling Techniques

  • Stance: For stability, place your feet shoulder-width apart, centered on the board, facing forward.
  • Paddle Grip: Hold the paddle with one hand on the T-handle and the other on the shaft.
  • Stroke: Reach forward with the paddle, insert the blade fully into the water, and pull it back towards your feet. Keep your core engaged.
  • Turning: To turn right, paddle on the left side of the board. To turn left, paddle on the right side. For sharper turns, use a sweep stroke.

5.3. Using the EVA Traction Pad

The crocodile skin design EVA traction pad provides excellent grip and comfort, preventing slippage during use. Ensure your feet are clean before stepping on the pad to maintain its effectiveness.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

After each use, rinse the paddle board thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and dirt. Use a mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.2. Drying

Ensure the board is completely dry before deflating and storing. Drying in the shade is recommended to prevent material degradation from prolonged sun exposure.

6.3. Storage

Deflate the board by pressing the valve pin down to the OPEN position. Once deflated, roll the board tightly from the nose to the tail, expelling all air. Store the board and accessories in the provided backpack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
