1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Driven by Battat Tow Truck requires 4 CR123A batteries and 3 AA batteries for its light and sound functions. These are typically included and pre-installed. If replacement is needed:

  1. Locate the battery compartment(s) on the underside or rear of the truck.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover(s).
  3. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the cover(s) and secure with the screw(s).

Note: Always use new batteries of the specified type. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the toy will not be used for an extended period.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Activating Lights and Sounds

To activate the realistic truck and engine sounds, press the button located on the roof of the vehicle. This will also activate the amber emergency lights. Press the horn button to hear the horn sound and turn on the headlights.

5.2 Operating the Crane and Ramp

The tow truck features a functional crane and a foldable ramp for loading and unloading vehicles.

  • Extending the Crane: Manually extend the crane arm and adjust the hook to lift or lower objects.
  • Folding the Ramp: The rear ramp can be folded down to allow the included sports car, or other compatible vehicles, to drive onto the tow bed.

5.3 Opening Parts

For added realism and playability, the tow truck features several opening parts:

  • Driver's Door: The driver's side door can be opened and closed.
  • Hood: The front hood can be opened to reveal a detailed engine compartment.
  • Support Legs: The support legs on the side of the truck can be folded out for increased stability during crane operation.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the toy with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not immerse in water.
  • Battery Care: Replace batteries when lights dim or sounds become distorted. Always dispose of used batteries responsibly.
  • Storage: Store the toy in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
