5.3 Installation Methods

There are two primary ways to install the feeder on your aquarium:

  1. Using the Mounting Clip:
Slide the feeder onto the edge of your aquarium tank. Tighten the screw on the mounting clip to secure the feeder firmly in place. Ensure the feeder is positioned above the water surface to prevent food from getting wet.
  2. Using the Double-Sided Sticker:
Attach the double-sided sticker (included) to the bottom of the feeder. Then, fix the feeder onto the aquarium cover. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying the sticker for a secure hold.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting Feeding Interval

The feeder offers two automatic feeding intervals: 12 hours and 24 hours.

  1. Locate the 12H/24H switch on the feeder.
  2. Slide the switch to your desired feeding interval (12H for twice a day, 24H for once a day).
  3. The timer starts when you set the batteries and select an interval. To adjust the feeding time, switch the setting (e.g., from 12H to 24H and back to 12H) at the exact time you wish the first feeding to occur. The feeder will then dispense food at this time and repeat every 12 or 24 hours.

6.2 Adjusting Food Quantity

You can adjust the amount of food dispensed per feeding:

  1. Locate the food quantity adjuster (a slider or knob) on the front of the food drum.
  2. Move the adjuster to select one of the 1-6 different quantity levels. Experiment to find the appropriate amount for your fish.

To feed your fish instantly outside of the programmed schedule, press the manual feed button (often located near the timer switch). This will dispense one portion of food without affecting the automatic timer.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

To ensure optimal performance and hygiene, clean the feeder regularly:

  • Remove the food drum from the main unit.
  • Hand wash the food drum with care using mild soap and water. Do not twist or apply excessive force.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling with food.
  • Do not immerse the main electronic unit in water. Wipe it with a damp cloth if necessary.

7.2 Food Type and Storage

  • Only use dry fish food.
  • Store fish food in a cool, dry place to prevent clumping.
  • Ensure the feeder is positioned above the water to prevent moisture from entering the food drum, which can cause food to clump and block the dispenser.
