Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Lens not recognized by camera: Ensure the lens is securely attached to the camera body and that the camera's firmware is up to date. Clean the lens and camera contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Autofocus not working: Check that the AF/MF switch on the lens is set to AF. Ensure your camera's focus mode is set to autofocus. Verify there is sufficient light for the autofocus system to operate effectively.
- Image quality issues (softness, aberrations): Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges. Check that the aperture is set appropriately for your shooting conditions. For optimal sharpness, avoid shooting at the extreme ends of the aperture range unless desired for creative effect.
