3. Setup

  1. Unpack the heating pad and ensure all components (heating pad, controller, cover) are present and undamaged.
  2. Place the heating pad on a flat, dry surface.
  3. Ensure the fabric cover is properly fitted over the vinyl heating pad.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

The Boncare heating pad offers two temperature settings and can be used for both dry and moist heat therapy.

4.1 Dry Heat Application

  1. After plugging in the heating pad, use the slide switch on the controller to select your desired temperature setting: High or Low.
  2. The heating pad will begin to warm up quickly. The side of the pad against your body will reach its full temperature (149°F–158°F / 65°C–70°C on High) within 10 minutes in a room temperature environment (68°F–77°F).
  3. Place the heating pad on the area of the body requiring heat therapy.
  4. Monitor the heat level to ensure comfort and safety. If the High setting feels too intense, you may place a thin blanket or cloth between your body and the pad, or switch to the Low setting.
  5. Since there is no auto shut-off, manually turn off the heating pad by sliding the switch to the '0' position after each use.

4.2 Moist Heat Application

Moist heat can penetrate faster and deeper into muscle tissue, providing enhanced relief.

  1. Remove the fabric cover from the heating pad.
  2. Lightly dampen the absorbent sponge inside the vinyl envelope with water. Do not saturate.
  3. Replace the fabric cover over the heating pad.
  4. Follow the steps for dry heat application (Section 4.1) to use the heating pad with moist heat.

5.2 Cleaning the Vinyl Pad

The vinyl heating pad is waterproof and can be wiped clean.

  1. Unplug the heating pad.
  2. Wipe the vinyl surface with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary.
  3. Ensure the pad is completely dry before storing or using again.

5.3 Storage

Store the heating pad in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the controller or pad, as this can damage the cord.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Pad is not heating: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet and the controller switch is set to either 'High' or 'Low'. Check for any visible damage to the cord or controller.
  • Pad feels too hot: If the 'High' setting is too intense, switch to the 'Low' setting. Alternatively, place a thin towel or blanket between the heating pad and your skin to reduce direct heat intensity.
  • Moist heat not effective: Ensure the absorbent sponge is adequately dampened, but not dripping wet. The cover should be properly fitted.
  • Pad has an unusual odor: Discontinue use immediately and unplug the device. Contact customer support.
