Tools Required:

  • T-15 Torx screwdriver or socket
  • Flathead screwdriver (for body clips)
  • Basic hand tools

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Hood and Remove Grill: Pop the hood of your Jeep. Remove the body clips securing the top of the grill using a flathead screwdriver or pick tool. Gently pull the grill forward to detach it.
  2. Remove Turn Signals: Disconnect the turn signal wiring from the grill.
  3. Remove Factory Headlights: Each factory headlight is held in place by four Torx screws. Remove these screws using a T-15 Torx tool. Gently pull the headlight assembly forward.
  4. Disconnect Headlight Harness: Push back on the red locking slider and press the green tab to disconnect the headlight harness.
  5. Remove Metal Retainer Ring: Remove the metal retainer ring from the factory headlight. This will be reused.
  6. Connect New Headlights: Attach the H4 to H13 adapter to your new LED headlight. Connect the other end of the adapter to the factory Jeep harness. Ensure the red safety latch is pushed back into place.
  7. Wire DRL/Halos (Optional): The yellow wire from the new headlights is for the DRL/Halo function. You can tap this into your side marker lights or run it to a fuse box for constant power when the vehicle is on. Ensure connections are secure and insulated (e.g., with electrical tape).
  8. Test Headlights: Before reassembling, turn on your Jeep's lights to test the DRL/Halos, low beams, and high beams.
  9. Install New Headlights: Place the metal retainer ring onto the new LED headlight. Carefully position the new headlight into the housing and secure it with the four Torx screws.

7. Beam Adjustment

To adjust the perfect beam angle:

  1. Park your Jeep on a level surface, approximately 5 meters away from a flat wall.
  2. Adjust the horizontal and vertical alignment of the lights.
  3. The 'Z' shape line of the beam should be 90cm in length.
  4. The lights shining on the wall should be 80cm high.

8. Maintenance

The anti-yellowing PC lens helps maintain the headlights' new appearance over time. The IP67 waterproof rating ensures protection against water and dust.

Addressing Moisture/Condensation:

If moisture or condensation appears inside the headlight, please open the ventilation breathers on the back of the light when the headlight is on. The moisture will disappear within a short time, and the headlight will work normally again and be as bright as before. This practice can also help prolong the lifespan of the headlights.

9. Troubleshooting

Flicker Issue:

The headlights include a smart CANbus decoder to prevent flicker issues. If flickering occurs, ensure all connections are secure and the CANbus decoder is properly installed. In some rare cases, a defective unit might cause flickering, and contacting customer support is recommended.

10. Warranty and Support

The AUDEXEN 7 Inch LED Headlights come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
