5. Operating Instructions

The GoPower & Emboss Machine operates automatically once the correct plate combination is inserted. Always refer to the specific instructions provided with your dies and embossing folders for optimal results.

5.1 Die-Cutting

  1. Prepare Your Sandwich: Create the appropriate "sandwich" of plates, die, and material. A common combination for thin dies might be: C Plate, material, die (cutting edge down), B Plate. For thicker dies or materials, you may need to adjust the plate combination or add the Metal Adapter Mat.
  2. Insert into Machine: Carefully feed the prepared sandwich into the machine's opening. The machine will automatically grip and pull the sandwich through.
  3. Retrieve Cut: Once the sandwich has passed through, retrieve it from the other side. Carefully remove the die and your cut material.

5.2 Embossing

  1. Prepare Your Sandwich: For embossing, typically use an embossing folder with your material inside. A common sandwich might be: C Plate, Embossing Mat, embossing folder with material, B Plate.
  2. Insert into Machine: Feed the prepared embossing sandwich into the machine. The automatic mechanism will pull it through.
  3. Retrieve Embossed Material: Once processed, retrieve the sandwich and remove your embossed material from the folder.

Note: Experiment with different plate combinations and shims (thin pieces of cardstock) to achieve optimal cutting and embossing results for various materials and dies.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Unplug the machine before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Plate Care: Over time, cutting plates will show wear and tear. Rotate and flip plates regularly to extend their lifespan. Replace plates when they become excessively warped or cut through.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
