Setup
1. Battery Installation
The camera requires 8 AA batteries (not included). For best performance, use high-quality alkaline or lithium batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
- Open the camera's latch on the side and gently open the housing.
- Locate the battery compartment.
- Insert 8 AA batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. SD Card Insertion
The camera supports SD cards up to 64GB (Class 10 or higher recommended, not included).
- With the camera powered off, locate the SD card slot.
- Insert the SD card into the slot with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card in until it clicks, then release, and it will eject.
3. Mounting the Camera
The camera can be mounted using the included mounting belt or a tripod (not included).
- Using the Mounting Belt: Thread the belt through the slots on the back of the camera. Secure the camera to a tree or post at the desired height and angle.
- Using a Tripod: The camera has a standard 1/4"-20 threaded insert on the bottom for tripod mounting.

Operating the Camera
1. Powering On/Off
Locate the power switch inside the camera housing. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on the camera. Slide it to "OFF" to power off.
2. Mode Selection
The camera typically has three modes: OFF, SETUP, and ON (or TEST/RUN). Use the mode switch to select:
- OFF: Camera is powered off.
- SETUP/TEST: Allows you to access the menu, view images/videos, and adjust settings. The LCD screen will be active.
- ON/RUN: The camera is in active surveillance mode. The LCD screen will turn off, and the camera will capture photos/videos based on your settings when motion is detected.
3. Menu Navigation and Settings
In SETUP mode, use the control buttons (usually UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, OK/MENU) to navigate the on-screen menu. Common settings include:
- Mode: Photo, Video, or Photo+Video.
- Photo Size: 32MP, 24MP, 16MP, etc.
- Video Resolution: 1080p, 720p, etc.
- PIR Sensitivity: High, Medium, Low (adjusts motion detection sensitivity).
- Trigger Interval: Time delay between detections.
- Time Lapse: Set intervals for capturing images without motion detection.
- Date/Time: Set current date and time.
- Format SD Card: Erases all data on the SD card.
4. Viewing Photos and Videos
In SETUP mode, you can review captured media directly on the 2.0" LCD display.
- Navigate to the "Playback" or "View" option in the menu.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to scroll through photos and videos.
- Press OK to view a photo or play a video.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and IR sensors. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears or when performance degrades. Always replace all batteries at once with new ones of the same type.
- SD Card Management: Regularly format your SD card to prevent data corruption and ensure optimal performance. Back up important files before formatting.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
