7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Faucet
- Clean the brushed nickel finish with a soft, damp cloth.
- Use mild soap and water if necessary.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Wipe the faucet dry after cleaning to prevent water spots.
7.2 Hand Shower Care
- After using the hand shower, allow any residual water to drain completely into the tub before placing it back in its holder. This helps prevent dripping onto the floor.
- Periodically check the hand shower hose for kinks or damage.
7.3 Ceramic Disc Cartridge
The faucet is equipped with a durable ceramic disc cartridge designed for long-lasting, reliable performance. No regular maintenance is typically required for the cartridge itself, but if leaks or persistent drips occur from the handle, the cartridge may need inspection or replacement by a qualified professional.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your faucet, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Pressure | Partially closed shut-off valves, clogged aerator, low household water pressure, or restricted supply lines. | Ensure shut-off valves are fully open. Clean or replace the aerator. Check household water pressure. Inspect supply lines for kinks or blockages. Consult a plumber if the issue persists. |
| Hand Shower Drips After Use | Residual water in the hose or shower head. | This is common. Allow the hand shower to drain completely into the tub before returning it to its holder. |
| Faucet Unit Moves/Wobbles | Mounting hardware not sufficiently tightened or inadequate floor support. | Ensure the tripod base and mounting screws are securely fastened to the floor. If the floor structure is insufficient, additional reinforcement may be required. Consult a professional. |
| Leaks from Connections | Loose connections, worn gaskets, or improper sealing. | Turn off water supply. Tighten all connections. Replace any damaged gaskets or O-rings. Ensure Teflon tape was used on threaded connections. |
